This is a friendly crossplay server that tries to fix vanilla feeling kind of samey without turning it into a giant modpack mess. It uses hand picked server side changes so you can join without downloading anything.
The world is meant to feel more alive and worth exploring. It also has quality of life stuff like vein mining and easier tree chopping. There is proximity voice chat that works across platforms too.
There is no store and no crates and no economy trying to force how you play. It is just Minecraft with things to discover.
They do holiday events and sometimes run special weekends where settings change for a couple days. Griefing is not allowed. There is no world border and there are no full resets. I found SJRCraft and it is a semi vanilla SMP on 1.21.11 with a brand new world for Season 8 called Spring Awakens.
It is whitelisted and the staff reviews applications so it stays safe and positive. The server is kept small with a 60 player limit so it feels social and you can actually get to know people.
There are quality of life upgrades and an optional modpack. The season is spring themed with events happening each week like hide and seek build challenges treasure hunts PvP and quiz nights.

Kings Talk is a fantasy modded nations roleplay server where players can make their own nation or join someone else. You can also create your own original roleplay character and decide how you want to live in the world.
The nations grow in an organic way and the modpack has RTS style units plus siege weapons. There is also automation so you can build up your nation faster or go to war.

Fusion SMP is a private survival multiplayer server on Java 1.21.11 that is trying to be different from the usual SMP that dies fast. It mixes a bunch of SMP systems into one world so players can end up with really different playstyles.
The world border is 5000 by 5000 and the server has around 40 members and it is still growing. It is long term survival with PvP plus alliances wars and lots of exploring.
It has altar mechanics glitch abilities and strength mechanics with extra quality of life plugins. There are also legendary weapons with special abilities and unique player powers with balanced survival and PvP.
The server uses Simple Voice Chat for proximity voice. You need the mod and there are two resource packs with one that downloads when you join and one you grab from the Discord.
