It is a roleplay server with lore and server events like the nether opening. People build bases and team up and sometimes go to war with other factions. PvP is more of a side thing but it is still part of the vibe.
Spawn has a safe zone where players can build shops and hang out. There is also Simple VC support so you can talk with voice if you use the mod.
Combat has rules too like no elytra during combat and anti combat log tools. The server runs on a dedicated machine with 20GB of RAM and a 5800x3d CPU to help keep lag down.
