I found this Minecraft server and it is actually very good.
The sad part is it does not really have players yet. It feels like one of those servers that should be more popular but people just do not know about it.

FableCraft is a semi vanilla server that is inspired by Hermitcraft and even uses the same seed as Hermitcraft season 11. It feels like a chill survival world where everyone is trying to build cool bases and towns together.
The server has normal SMP gameplay with some quality of life commands like home and spawn that have cooldowns and limits. There is also a Dynmap so you can see the world in your browser and you can even add your own markers. You can set a nickname too and make your name colorful so chat looks more fun.
They use a bunch of mods that are like the ones the Hermits use. There are armor stand tools so you can pose stuff. There is proximity voice chat that you do not have to use if you do not want to. There is also a way to silence mobs so your builds are not super noisy.
Spawn is a big mushroom island that works as the main village and the shopping district. The whole server runs on a trust system with strict rules against griefing and cheating. A lot of people choose base locations that are like where the Hermits built or they copy similar build themes.

LegacyMC is a vanilla anarchy server that feels like pure Minecraft survival with nothing holding you back. There are no rules and no gameplay changing plugins. You just spawn in and try to live in a world where other players can do whatever they want.
There are no land claims and no teleport commands so travel actually matters. PvP is always on and griefing and raiding are allowed so any base you make can be found and destroyed. What you build or break is completely up to you and nobody will protect it.
The server started in June 2025 so the world is still young and players can leave a real mark. There are no resets planned so anything that happens will stay in the world for a long time.
The server runs on dedicated hardware in Australia so it is good for players in Australia and New Zealand. There is no pay to win and no monetization at all. You do not need to donate and the owners will not ask you to.

This server is called Hardcore SMP and it is all about real hardcore survival multiplayer. It works for Java and Bedrock and the world does not reset so everything you build can last as long as you can stay alive.
There is a coin economy that is only run by players. There are no normal item shops from the server. You earn coins from killing mobs and looting chests and then you use a trading system and an auction house to buy and sell stuff with other players.
The land claim system is actually a big deal here. You can claim your base and farms and they are totally safe from grief while you are alive. If you log out your land is still protected. But if you die your claims get deleted and your land is open again so dying really hurts.
Teleporting is very limited on purpose. You get a one time randomtp to go far away into fresh terrain and you can invite others when you use it. After that you have home to go back to your bed and spawn to return to the main spawn area. There are no other tp commands so you still have to travel.
The server is fully non pay to win. There is only one rank called VIP and it only gives cosmetic perks so it does not give any gameplay advantage. The store also has a revive which is like starting over on a new account. Crescenta is a Minecraft worldbuilding server that uses a block protection system called Citadel. It is like the big civ servers where players protect blocks and build long term projects.
The owner is trying to keep the Citadel plugin and some related plugins updated and working on the new version. The plugins they use are not in a great state right now so they are working hard to fix them and keep the server stable.
They are looking for a real developer to help fix and improve these plugins and maybe make new custom mechanics later. The owner says there is a test server for development and there is actual payment for the work.
