This server is called Europa SMP and it runs Minecraft version 1.21.11.
The world is a custom 4000 by 5000 map that is based on Europe. So you can travel around and build on different places of the continent. It feels like a survival world where the land actually looks like a real region.
You have to send an application to join but they say it is easy. That makes the server feel more controlled and probably keeps out random trolls.
There is a simple voice chat plugin so you can talk to other players while you play. It makes exploring and building with people feel more like hanging out.

This server is all about long term survival with no resets and no grief. It is made for players who want to build huge projects and not worry that everything will be gone when they take a break.
The main world is a permanent SMP that has been running for years. You can claim land so your builds stay safe. There are player markets so you can trade to skip some of the grind or you can ignore that and gather everything yourself.
The gameplay is almost vanilla. There are no custom items enchants or skills. There are a few teleport options and quality of life features plus building tools like armor stands mini blocks and decorative heads that help with detailed builds.
There is also a hardcore vanilla mode with no grief and extra large biomes. For testing and tools they have a simple vanilla no grief world that lasts several months and a creative plots world for experiments and litematica pasting.
Chat is kept clean with low tolerance for swearing. Public chat is supposed to stay about Minecraft and gaming. The community feels mature and international with players ranging from teens to older adults and events are mostly started by players and supported by the admins.

Foggy Willows is a server for people who want real vanilla and nothing else. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no datapacks and no plugins so it feels like singleplayer but with other players.
There is no big spawn or crazy story you have to read. You just join and start playing. You solve your own problems with other players and choose how you want to live. You can build huge bases explore far away or do technical redstone stuff.
The server always uses the latest stable vanilla version. It is self hosted on a machine that was built just for this. There are no donations and no world border.
There is no teleport and no sethome so traveling takes time and choices matter. The server is on hard mode so mobs hit harder and survival is tougher. It is Java only.

VitaNova is a new semi vanilla SMP that just opened and it feels really fresh. The world is custom and still mostly untouched so there is a lot of room to explore and build your own area.
The server has a bunch of plugins that make normal survival more fun. There is a fishing plugin with custom fish and different rarities and there are fishing tournaments so you can compete against other players. There is also a lands plugin so you can claim land and keep your builds and loot safe.
You can make money by using jobs and selling things in the auction house so there is an economy where you can earn and spend. There are also crates that are pretty easy to get so you can get some extra boosts while you play.
The community is growing and the server is trying to be a place where everyone feels welcome. It runs on version 1.21 and it is built around people working together building up the world and just enjoying Minecraft survival.

This server is called DiosesMC and it feels super chaotic. It is supposed to be for everyone but it really does not feel like that. Staff want you to record everything you do or they will not accept what you say. If you do not have full video of what happened they just act like nothing is real.
There is a lot of toxicity between clans and players. People are rude and the fights get crazy and it looks like nobody really checks what is going on. There are scams everywhere too and players can get robbed and blown up and staff still do not really care unless you have perfect proof.
I saw cases where someone got harassed both in game and on Discord and even then it was not enough for the admins. If someone steals your stuff or explodes your builds and you do not have the whole thing recorded they just ignore it and the other person keeps playing like nothing happened.
So the server is kind of a survival place where you only trust yourself. You need to be ready to record all the time and not everyone has a PC that can handle that. If you want a chill friendly community this probably is not it.
