Iperios is an SMP where players can make their own nation and build up power over time. You can train your skills with McMMO then use that to fight in wars and try to take over more land.
You can start a nation with your own government laws and ranks. If that sounds like too much you can just join a nation that already exists and help them grow.
The server also has resource camps you can conquer. These become your first income of geopolitical resources so your nation can expand and unlock more stuff. There are different resources and buildings you can create and the staff gives active support.

MangoesCraft is a modded server that has been running for about two years and it is now on Season 5. This season started around two weeks ago so the world is still pretty fresh.
The server is focused around the Create mod so you will see big factories moving parts trains and lots of automation. The modpack is not just a random pile of mods and it is picked to match the steampunk engineering style.
People say it runs smooth even when machines get huge. There is also a live webmap that stays up so you can look at the world and find a place to live.

Jujutsu Origins is a chill survival SMP I found that uses the ORCA Jujutsu Craft mod. It feels like normal Minecraft but you also get cursed techniques to mess with while you play.
The vibe is casual and there is no forced roleplay and no big server lore stuff. PvP is optional so it is not just constant fighting all day.
