Lumoria is a chill Java 1.20.1 Fabric SMP that a small group of friends started and they want more people to play with.
The mod list is curated so it feels like it fits together. It adds new monsters plus weapons and armor. It also has mounts and extra resources. There is furniture and cosmetics too so building can look more lived in.
The main vibe is exploring and building together while finding new stuff. It is not meant to be sweaty or competitive.

DreSociety is running a huge Maze Runner style event with up to 100 players. You can choose to be a runner and explore the maze or stay in the glade and gather resources to help everyone else.
The maze gets scary at night and there are creatures out there. If you go in you might not find a way back out.
They have hosted big civilization seasons before and now they are switching it up with this maze event. They also plan mini events while the server is active to keep things interesting.

I found The Garden SMP and it is a relaxed survival roleplay server for Java 1.21.11. It is made to be new player friendly and it has no join restrictions.
The main focus is worldbuilding and adventure with roleplay. Players make towns and nations in the overworld then go on bigger trips in alternate dimensions and build stories together.
It uses Towny so you can settle a town and protect your builds. You can make chest shops to sell goods and there is no forced economy. There is also a Devotions system where you can be a priest cultist or devoted worshipper of a god and get rewarded for piety. Multiverse is there so you can explore your gods realm and there are lots of quality of life features too.

This is a pure vanilla Java survival SMP for people who actually want to be active and talk. It is a small group aiming for around 15 to 20 members and it is for ages 16 to 21.
The main vibe is living close together and building a town. You are not supposed to move out thousands of blocks so everyone stays nearby and hangs out.
