    I found a vanilla anarchy server that has been running for almost a year. It feels like normal survival but with the wild player driven vibe where anything can happen.

    It supports both Java and Bedrock so a lot of people can get in including console players. Java works from 1.13 up to 1.21.x and they recommend 1.21.11.

    The big thing is it is no hacks allowed. That means no hacked clients no cheats and no xray even with resource packs. They also do not allow exploiting server vulnerabilities crashing the server trying to lag it out or using macros and automation tools. If you spam chat too much you can get auto kicked.

    Dust to Dust is a modded Minecraft server for 1.20.1 where players try to build a big roleplay story on one world. The idea is to start in a Middle Ages style time and then grow all the way toward a Cold War kind of era.

    People can start their own nation or join another country. You can explore and find ruins from old player empires that already fell. You can also make safe places for travelers. A lot of the story is made by players.

    The server tries to fix common GeoPol problems like hidden staff decisions. The dev chats are open so it feels more transparent. The modpack is made for multiplayer first and they take toxicity seriously.

    The Garden SMP is a Java 1.21.11 survival server with towny roleplay and a big focus on worldbuilding. People make towns and nations in the overworld then go on adventures in other dimensions and build stories together.

    You start with three lives and you lose a life if another player kills you. You can protect builds with Towny. There are chest shops so you can sell stuff without a forced economy. You can lock chests with trail keys but lock picks exist so you still have to be careful.

    There is Animal Hunger for raising livestock for harvest and Devotions where you can be a priest cultist or devote worshipper and get rewards for piety. Multiverse lets players explore their gods realm. The server is meant to be relaxed with optional challenges and it says there is no pay to win. Staff and mods are active and the community is a small thriving group.
