You can explore Survival, Skyblock, Creative, Games, Hardcore, Parkour, and Factions, each offering a unique way to play. In Survival, you begin in the town of Imber, completing quests, trading in a dynamic economy, creating towns, renting land, and building with friends. Skyblock challenges you to survive and expand a floating island using minimal resources, while collecting crystals to buy upgrades and boosters. Creative offers large plots with free WorldEdit so you can build freely, enter monthly build contests, and earn ranks. OakenvaleSMP is a survival server with a medieval theme and a vanilla feel. It is built around building up the world over time. People make towns and kingdoms and big castles and they can team up or rival each other.
The server focuses on exploration and adventure and progression. It also has some QoL plugins plus custom biomes and expanded random structures so the world feels more interesting when you travel.
There are claims and teams so your builds are protected from being destroyed or looted. There are also daily and hourly rewards you can check in game with /rewards.

The server keeps things pretty vanilla but adds some fun tweaks. There are tons of extra advancements with BlazeandCave's Advancements so you always have late game challenges to chase. Mob heads drop more often and you can pose armor stands for nicer builds. There is also a feature where you can change how Happy Ghasts behave by using certain items on them.
They take rules seriously and do not allow griefing stealing hacking exploits or discrimination. To get full access you have to fill out a short application and you get the server info if you are accepted. This is a friendly crossplay server that tries to fix vanilla feeling kind of samey without turning it into a giant modpack mess. It uses hand picked server side changes so you can join without downloading anything.
The world is meant to feel more alive and worth exploring. It also has quality of life stuff like vein mining and easier tree chopping. There is proximity voice chat that works across platforms too.
There is no store and no crates and no economy trying to force how you play. It is just Minecraft with things to discover.
They do holiday events and sometimes run special weekends where settings change for a couple days. Griefing is not allowed. There is no world border and there are no full resets.
