so, like, have you heard about this crazy new minecraft server? i heard that if you join, you’ll become, like, the richest player ever and have all the diamonds you could ever dream of!

apparently, there’s this wild theory that the more you play on this server, the more likely you are to engage in, like, unethical behavior. but, like, who cares when you’re rolling in diamonds, amirite?

they did some studies with over 3,000 american players and found that the more economic inequality there is in the game, the more likely you are to, like, trust and cooperate with other players. it’s, like, a whole social experiment in minecraft form!

    NormalSMP is a semi vanilla semi anarchy survival server for people who want real risk. It is about grinding and progression and also PvP raids and griefing.

    There is a playtime leveling system so being active matters. You can use restock shops and it feels made for grinding. You also get /home and /tpa so moving around is easier.

    Teams are a big deal here with private chat and tags. Spawn has a green zone that is safe and also a red zone for PvP. Outside spawn it is survival rules and anything can happen.

    Trash talk is allowed but do not go too far. Cheating is not allowed and they say they have anti cheat and moderation. There is no whitelist so you can just join and start right away. The world border is 10000 by 10000.

    Mech Rehabilitated is a modded SMP that just came back with a fresh version of the modpack and a clean slate. It looks like a chill place to hop on after work or classes and play with a small friendly group.

    The pack is huge with 300 plus mods so there is a lot to do. You can explore and loot big structures fight bosses and keep getting stronger. If you are more of a peaceful player there is also plenty of farming and cooking stuff to mess with.

    I saw it includes things like Create Alex style mobs and caves Terramity Farmers Delight Cataclysm Productive Bees The Aether FTB Quests Iron spells Tinkers Construct and more. To join you fill out a short whitelist form and they review it so you can get in.

    Hardcore Anarchy With World Changing Events

    Just Another Adventure is a hardcore anarchy server where the world keeps changing because of special events and new constraints. It feels like survival but the rules of the world can shift over time so you have to adapt.

    Early on the world border starts small at 1000 blocks each way and it grows every day. When players entered the End a destruction timer started and after it finished the End became unreachable for an unknown amount of time. When the border hit 10k an infinite winter began.

    Griefing killing and stealing are allowed and it is meant to be brutal. Hacking and exploits are not allowed. Crystal and anchor PVP are disabled.

    Death is permanent but there is a revival system tied to the world. When you die you become a ghost and you can only stay near your own player head and you cannot clip into the ground. As the border expands you can discover special revival locations and if someone places a dead players head there and pays the material cost that player can come back. There is also light lore as you find old builds outside the early border and your actions can cause other things in the world to change.
