CrystalSMP is a pretty new survival server that feels really chill and friendly. It is vanilla style Minecraft on version 1.21.1 but with a special terrain generation mod and a few quality of life mods.
The server is focused on fun cooperative gameplay. People play together build bases and explore instead of sweating super hard. You can use your own resource packs and client side mods to make it look and feel how you want.
Mouse Tweaks and Xaero maps are suggested but you do not have to use them. Everyone just plays how they like as long as they work together.
The plan is that once players get good gear and bases they like the server will move more into a roleplay style. So it starts as regular survival and slowly turns into more story and characters.
There is a whitelist so you fill out a quick and simple application first. It is only for basic info and to keep the community safe and nice.

This server is called The Ridge and it feels really cozy.
Right now they are playing a modpack called Homestead A Cozy Minecraft Modpack. It is a tight knit group so people seem to know each other and the vibe is very wholesome. It sounds like a place where you can relax and just play for fun.
They change modpacks sometimes when the old one gets quiet. So the server does not stay stuck on one pack forever. If you like trying new modded packs with the same group of people this is pretty cool.
The server is all about having fun together. They want new players who like a friendly and chill community. If you want a cozy modded survival place this server fits that style.

GlowySMP is a new semi vanilla whitelisted SMP that feels really cozy and calm. The community is friendly and griefing is not allowed so your stuff stays safe.
The server has an economy system so you can earn money and trade with other players. There are player warps and player shops that make it easy to travel around and buy or sell items. Landclaims keep your builds protected and there are community events so people can play together.
There are jobs you can do for money and a resource world you can use for mining and gathering. PvP can be toggled so you only fight when you actually want to. The server also has PyroFishing special crates and ranks plus mobcatchers for more ways to play.
Overall it feels like a chill SMP where you can relax build and slowly become part of a small community that wants to have fun together.

Aurora Isles SMP is a new Minecraft survival server that uses a custom modpack. The mods are picked so they each add something cool and the pack does not feel cluttered. Some of them are about dragons and horses and exploring lots of islands.
The server has a big focus on roleplay. People like to do How To Train Your Dragon themed stories and other types of rp. Players are encouraged to make lore for their characters and for the world if they want to but it is never forced.
There are events giveaways gatherings and games that are inspired by How To Train Your Dragon like dragon fighting and other challenges. The world uses a special seed that makes the map feel more immersive for adventure and roleplay.
They also put in performance mods so more people can run the modpack and join without lag. The community is described as friendly but the rules they do have are taken very seriously. If someone breaks them staff acts fast and cracked accounts are not allowed at all.

This server is a hardcore vanilla style SMP and it is still pretty new. It has been open for less than a month so the world is not super old yet.
The main idea is that you only get a limited number of lives. When you use up your deaths you get banned for the rest of the season. Each ban gets longer until you are gone for the full season so dying actually matters a lot.
You start with some basic tools and you also get invisibility and regeneration when you spawn. This is so you can get away from the spawn area safely. They said they do not really have spawn killers but they still protect new players just in case.
The server runs 24 7 and it is a free community server with no ranks and no pay to win stuff. It is on Minecraft 1.21.11 and it works with Bedrock 1.21.131.
Overall it feels like a simple but tough survival server where every life counts and the community is just there to play fair hardcore vanilla together.
