Who are we?

Altitude is a community-centered survival network. We’re one of those servers you come to call “home”. We are your place to get together with friends and relax. Survival is our focus, with a few features suggested by the community to make things more interesting! We originally opened in 2015 and we’ve started a new world for every major Minecraft release since then, excluding 1.16. Altitude is intended for older players, but all are welcome!

    The Pen Classic Prison Grind Returns

    The Pen is a classic prison server that feels like the older grindy style. You start basic with leather armor and simple tools and you have to work your way up through ranks from A down to H then Parolee and Citizen.

    This server really pushes the old prison vibe where PvP matters and the economy is not free. You have to smelt your ores and then move through PvP zones to sell at the Commissary so it feels risky and slower.

    There are Guards who protect new players and enforce contraband. Swords and potions are illegal so if a Guard catches you with them they will fight you. You can even get sent to solitary for bad conduct.

    Once you hit top rank you can prestige for special rewards. There are quests for extra cash or special items plus custom fishing. You can rent a cell or a plot to store stuff build and run your own shop.

    There is also a bounty system if you want someone hunted and an auction house for trading. Parkour challenges are spread around the prison and there are special custom plants that are illegal so you can grow them for profit if you do not get caught.

    Modded Squad PvP Weekly Events

    Frontline Combat is a modded server where teams fight in squad style battles like a battlefield match. It is all about team based PvP and working together to win fights.

    They run regular events every week and they try to make the server better each time. They also have their own custom mods and content and they want more players to join in.

    This server is Java only.

    Hard Semi-Vanilla Crossplay SMP Resets

    This is a semi vanilla SMP called Alpha MC Crossplay. It is hard survival and it resets about every half year so the world does not get stale.

    It has modded biomes so the world feels more interesting but it still keeps that vanilla vibe. There is a dedicated mod team and a steady player base so it feels like a real place to play.

    It is crossplay so friends can join from different devices. Some people stream some team up and some just try to become the king. It fits whatever kind of Minecraft phase you are in.

    AvalonEarth Geopol Season 2 Wars

    AvalonEarth is a geopol EarthSMP server where players make towns and build nations on a huge 1 to 500 Earth map. It works on both Java and Bedrock so more friends can play together.

    It uses Towny so you can claim land and grow your place into something real. New players get starter money so anyone can create a nation right away without grinding first.

    The server already had a first season back in September and it built a strong community. Season two is live now and it has a lot of new players joining.

    If you like conflict there are lots of wars and it sounds pretty active. If you do not want to fight you can stay peaceful and mostly avoid the drama.

    Making money is mainly done through jobs plus farming and fishing and they said more ways are coming soon.

    LilacMC Towny SMP With Player Economy

    LilacMC is a Towny SMP server that is trying to be fun and friendly for everyone.

    It has Towny and mcMMO plus other core features and some custom stuff made just for this server.

    The economy is player driven so players control how trading works and there are no admin shops.

    It supports versions 1.21.4 through 1.21.11 and there is a server trailer if you want a quick tour.
