You join one of three Houses. Adamant is the industrial and mining style House that feels kind of corporate. Demeter is the nature and farming House that feels more communistic. Theurgy is for greedy warlocks and explorers who like magic and research.
The world has three Difficulty Stages that are changed by mods. At the start it is Normal where survival is hard but still manageable if you stick with your House. When the first player goes to the Nether everything moves to Hard and the creatures get tougher. When someone reaches the End it switches to Extreme and late game gets super wild but by then everyone should already be strong.
There is a custom role play system with player led Houses and monopolies. What you do actually changes how the server is structured and affects the status of your House. There are relics trade wars and territory struggles between players.
Resources in the world are limited so you have to dominate negotiate or trade if you want to grow. It feels like a server where your choices matter and your group really has to think about how to survive and control the world.
