Headrest SMP is a paper Minecraft server that focuses on PvP and community. The server runs on version 1.20.10 and has a pretty active player base.
The world is survival style where you can build bases and fight other players. There is a safe zone at spawn where PvP is off so people can build shops and just hang out. In spawn people also use a simple voice chat mod so they can talk to each other easily.
The server uses a few quality of life plugins. There is no elytra allowed when you are in combat so fights are more fair. There is a combat log plugin so you cannot just leave to escape fights. There is also a sit command and some other small plugins that make the game feel nicer.
The community is meant to be friendly but still full of conflict. Players can make friends and team up. You can join wars betray people and create your own stories and lore. The whole goal is to have a place where people can be social build cool stuff and also enjoy real PvP.
The server has a strong machine behind it with 20GB of RAM and a 5800x3d cpu so it is built to handle fights and big builds without lag.

Halcyon is a Lands PvP server that goes for an immersive medieval vibe on vanilla Minecraft 1.21.11. It was founded by a postgraduate medievalist and it runs from Australia with players showing up from Europe the Americas and Asia. You will usually see around 10 to 30 players online at a time.
The world is handmade and the rules are set up to make survival feel old school. Night cannot be skipped and healing is slow and only works under certain conditions. The server tries to slow down progression and make meta play less valuable so players win by being brave and smart not by leaning on exploits and automation.
Travel matters a lot because there is no teleportation. Players build roads waystations and even secret underground railways to connect places. Crops and saplings are limited to certain biomes so trading becomes important and different regions start to feel unique.
There is no strict lore you have to follow and you are not pushed into a pre built story. People just play and the stories grow naturally through deals wars cities fortresses and alliances. Klawcraft SMP is a Minecraft server that is launching later this week. It is a modded SMP with PvP and it focuses on the mods Fsang and Echoes of Powers.
When you join you get a random power that is unique to you. The powers are based on popular anime and comics like Jujutsu Kaisen and the X-Men and Invincible.
