This server is called Cozy Craft and it is all about simple survival.
When I joined it felt really clean and not full of random stuff. It is semi vanilla so it feels like normal Minecraft. The focus is just surviving and building with other people.
There are only minimal plugins. Nothing crazy or confusing. It just feels like Minecraft the way it is supposed to be. The server wants to be long term so you can actually stay and work on big projects.
The community is SMP style and seems pretty chill. It is more about playing together and not about weird game modes. If you just want a calm survival world with other players this server fits that really well.

This is a brand new Minecraft server that just started yesterday. I joined right at the beginning and the world still feels super fresh.
There is still a lot to do and build so it feels like everyone can start equal. You are not joining late and you do not have to catch up to huge bases already.

This server is a long term survival world that has been around for years and it really feels like it. The owner has kept the same overworld and nether so people can build big projects without worrying about random wipes.
It is mostly a vanilla Minecraft experience with no pay to win and no money plugin. There is no whitelist so you just join and play. You get grief protection with claims and CoreProtect is running but grief is allowed if you forget to claim your area.
Both Java and Bedrock players can join and the version is in the 1.21 range. There is no set world border and no main spawn town. You spawn randomly around the world and you can use rtp to teleport far out and then set a home once you find a spot you like.
There is a public shopping district where anyone can apply for a shop. The server also runs free events with prizes. There is an online world map and player stats so you can look around and see what people made. Chat reports are disabled and the server rules are listed on their main site so everyone knows what to expect.
Overall it feels like a chill public SMP for people who want a simple survival world that will stay around for a long time and not reset every few months.

Rosedalean SMP is a pretty new survival multiplayer world that is trying to grow into a chill community. It feels like a fresh start so you do not have to join some huge server that is already full of mega bases.
The server is whitelisted and it is for adults so the vibe is more relaxed. People like to build cool bases run factions and join in events. The community seems really welcoming and they want new players to jump into builds and group projects.
The gameplay is enhanced vanilla because it runs on add ons instead of mods. There is simple voice chat and special world generation with Terralith style biomes so exploring feels a lot more interesting. There is also a ticket system that makes it easy to ask for help.
They use a blue map so you can see how the explored world looks which helps with planning bases and travel. There are events at least once a month so there is always something to do with other players.

Luminary Falls is a long term survival SMP that feels really cozy and friendly. It is made for adults who want a calm place to play Minecraft for a long time without losing their builds.
The server runs Java with full Bedrock crossplay so players on different platforms can play together. It uses quality of life plugins and datapacks that keep the game close to vanilla but a bit smoother. There is a main world that does not reset and there are extra resource worlds so the main map can stay nice for years.
