This server is called Ultimate Hardcore and it is really intense. It is a hardcore Minecraft world where you only get one life and if you die you are totally done.
The server is true vanilla survival. There are only a few rules. You cannot cheat but griefing is allowed and PvP is also allowed so you always have to watch your back.
There is no pay to win and there are no resets so the world just keeps going. You also cannot use alts so every player has to be careful with their one life.
Over 2,500 players have already tried to survive here in less than a month. It feels like a place for people who want a real challenge and are not scared to lose everything in a second.

HomesteadCraft is a 21 plus SMP server that feels really calm and relaxed. The world has been running for about four years so everything feels super lived in with big bases and long term projects everywhere. Because the map never resets people build huge stuff that actually stays.
The server runs Java 1.21.8 and it has some small quality of life plugins. There is one player sleep so nights go by fast. There are anti grief and claim protections so your builds stay safe. Most plugins can be turned off if you like things more simple.
They use special resource worlds for overworld nether and end. Those reset every week so you can mine and explore without wrecking the main world. The main world just keeps growing with each update instead of starting over.
There is no required playtime so you can be super active or just hop on when you feel like it. The community is small and chill and focused on building and big projects. There is a player run shopping district and a gaming island that players use for extra fun.
If you want an adult only place with no kids and no drama and a map that actually lasts this server fits that really well.

This is a creative city building server that feels like a big ongoing project. The world has a huge custom terrain map and everyone is focused on building cool cities and locations together.
The main idea is citybuild and worldbuilding. After a short application you can get access to world edit and other helpful commands so you can really show what you can do. You can claim land and see it marked on the live map so your builds actually feel like part of the world.
There is optional geopolitical roleplay going on. New players can join the story by making claims and even towns and settlements. But if roleplay is not your thing you can ignore it and just build because the RP is totally optional.
The community looks tight knit and laid back. People hang out and chat a lot give build advice and work together on projects. This is a modded Minecraft server that tries to feel like real medieval times in Central Europe. It is set around the thirteenth century when cities were growing and trade was getting big but also when a lot of scary conflicts were starting.
The server runs on version 1.20.1 and uses a custom modpack. The mods focus on making a more accurate medieval experience. There are detailed factions and a roles system so players can pick who they want to be. There is expanded combat plus new armor and weapons so fights feel different from normal Minecraft.

GlowySMP is a new semi vanilla SMP that is opening very soon. It feels like a fresh survival world with extra features that make it more fun but still pretty close to normal Minecraft.
The server has an economy system so you can earn money and then spend it in different ways. There are player warps and player shops so you can build your own place and turn it into a store or a cool spot that other players can visit.
Land claims are on the server so you can protect your builds and not worry as much about people messing up your stuff. There are jobs you can take to get money while you play and also special things like PyroFishing and mobcatchers for more ways to grind and make cash.
GlowySMP also has custom enchants like Vein Miner and Replanter so mining and farming feel faster and more satisfying. It supports both Java and Bedrock players so more people can join and play together from different devices.
Right now they are looking for new members to join on the first day. The community sounds friendly and they seem excited to start playing together.
