I found a modded Minecraft server running a Chaos and Magic themed pack on 1.20.1. It is built for people who want magic and mayhem and a lot of weird moments while trying to survive.
It looks best with friends since you can team up to explore and build big magical bases. There are big bosses and creepy monsters plus wild creatures and dragons from Ice and Fire so you will be fighting a lot.

Farmlands SMP is a whitelisted survival server with a cozy small community feel. It is for players who like to take their time and not get rushed.
The main world is meant to last so your base and long term builds and farms actually matter. It is the place for player projects and big ideas.
There is also a separate resource world that resets regularly. That way you can gather materials without messing up the main world.
Gameplay stays close to vanilla with a few quality of life tweaks and a custom advancement pack for extra challenges. The rules are strict about no griefing no stealing and no toxicity.

LegionCraft is a OneBlock survival server where you start with one block and keep grinding to grow your island. It feels like every block matters because you are always pushing for better stuff.
There are challenging bosses and they can drop keys so you can chase rare loot. You can also open crates for epic gear and rewards.
The server has custom enchants and spawners to help you build up faster and get stronger. It also has custom OneBlock islands so you can expand and try to dominate your world.

This is a community centered survival server that feels like a Hermit style world. It is made by the players for the players and people vote in polls for new cosmetic or qol or fun plugins.
There is a diamond based economy with a shopping district and also public builds and big projects. Proximity chat is a big thing here and most players actually use it.

People here are active and tight knit and they like building together and doing big community projects. There is also room for explorers redstone players and anyone who just wants to chill.
They use Ledger to track player actions so griefing or theft can be investigated. The server also has BlueMap for a live map plus Simple VoiceChat and an AudioPlayer.
