Gods and Gold is a Minecraft server that is all about politics culture and fantasy while still letting you enjoy the usual chaotic fun of the game. It tries to be a long term world where stories and lore grow over time between different players and groups.
Here you can make your own history and your own nation. You can team up with friends or become rivals. If you do not like writing or planning a lot you can just join one of the staff made factions. Those factions already have their own culture and NPCs so you can jump in fast and still climb the political ladder.
The server uses a national and political system instead of simple land claims. You get land through titles and you can earn those by economy military politics or civic work. There are rules for succession abdication elections and even usurping so power can shift in many ways as long as people remember it is just a game.
There is a player run economy where money is renewable. The players control it and there are lots of money sinks like land upkeep tithes war costs buffs and cosmetics. So the economy can boom or crash but it is still meant to be fun.
The server wants balanced warfare and it understands that not everyone can grind all the time. The whole idea is to let people enjoy politics conflict and story without needing to no life the game.

The server has claims so you do not have to stress about griefing. It also adds a bunch of quality of life stuff like voice chat and messages better harvesting chest sorting a gradient tool graves and a live map.
There is a fishing system with lots of new fish you can sell for money plus tracking and a leaderboard for the best fisherman. There are also 11 special enchantment books that help with building and gathering like chopping a whole tree at once or getting haste for mining.
Jobs are set up so you do not pick only a few. You earn experience and money from most actions and there are clean leaderboards so you can see who does what the most. There is also a centralized storage network so you can make a terminal in your base and link chests to it for easier storing and searching.

The main idea is to survive and build huge bases then make powerful farms and get Veil currency. Redstone matters a lot here because big farms turn into long term power and hidden bases help you stay alive.
Spawn at 0,0 is the most dangerous spot and that is also where a lot of the best events and rewards happen. There are global events like Relic Chests Fishing Wars and Hunts that can give currency points and rare God Items. God Items push the PvP and if you get a lot of points you get status and people will come for you.
