    I found a growing nation called Rio de La Plata on a server named DiplomaticaMC. It is an earth style server where people care about politics and government and it feels like joining a real country in Minecraft.

    You can become a citizen in a town and build up your own business stuff. If you want more power you can become a mayor and get funding to help your town start growing.

    If you like politics you can run for office or start a political movement. The server also has a unique war system and it is crossplay. People say the community is very friendly.

    I found a chill Java survival server called TerraScape SMP and it is made for peaceful play. PvP is only allowed if both people agree so it stays calm and fair.

    It is a vanilla style world with a few extras like sitting and making map art. There is also Simple Voice Chat if you want it but you can still play without using voice.

    The community is small and mature and it is an 18+ place. They run events sometimes and the staff is around to help when you have questions.

    The rules are simple. Be respectful and do not grief or steal and do not start random fights. You can build what you want as long as you respect other peoples stuff.

    Waychest Journeys: Solo Starts, Shared World

    Waychest is a PvE semi vanilla SMP where it feels like you are starting alone but you are actually in one big shared survival world.

    You begin in your own Journey with a random spawn point and you can bring friends. Each Journey has its own spawn and its own progress so it feels like a private Realm but it still connects to everyone else out there.

    As you explore you start finding special Waychests and other custom stuff that points you toward places people have been. You can even craft and place your own Waychests later so future Journeys can discover your builds.

    There is also a Waychest Flight minigame where you craft an Elytra then fly through rings and it leads you to a Waychest made by a stranger. Fast travel exists too but you have to discover a warp spot first to unlock it.

    It runs on Java 1.21.11 and you can join with a vanilla client.

    It has a live BlueMap so you can look around the world. There is Simple VoiceChat for talking in game and an AudioPlayer for custom audio.

    They take griefing and theft seriously. Ledger is used to track player activity so problems can be investigated and builds can stay safer.

    There are server wide events like PvP battles build contests and big group projects. The server also has dragon elytra drops and a custom resource pack with cosmetics trophies and event rewards with a HermitCraft inspired vibe.
