    LegacyMC is a vanilla anarchy server where you just spawn in and survive. There are no rules and it is a real open world where anything can happen.

    I noticed it is focused on no gameplay altering plugins and no pay to win stuff. There are no land claims and no teleporting so you have to travel and live with your choices.

    The server started in June 2025 so it is still early for people who want to leave a mark. PvP is on and raiding and griefing are allowed. There are no resets and no admin interference.

    It runs on dedicated hardware in Australia for low latency in Australia and New Zealand. It is open to everyone with no whitelist and there are no donation requests.

    BackToBlocks feels like a simple survival server that sticks close to vanilla but still gives you some nice quality of life stuff. It lets Java and Bedrock players join together so it is easy to play with friends.

    The spawn is built by the community and the server runs events sometimes. The Nether Hub is decorated and the End Island is also decorated so those places do not feel empty.

    There is a player run Shopping District for trading and shops. You also get light commands like sethome and tpa and other small helpers. There is even itemflip where you can gamble items just for fun and you can toggle phantoms.

    The vibe is not pay to win and they say no silly plugins. It is not focused on PvP but PvP and raiding can happen with limits. Griefing is not allowed so it is more about survival and building with people.

    I found a survival SMP called Overstressed and it has a big Create vibe. The server just launched and the world is already active with people building.

    There are over 250 custom quests so you can follow a huge progression path instead of feeling lost. The economy is player driven and you can set up shops and trade using a custom currency system.

    The spawn is staff built and it looks like a real town. They also have the Via Romana network so you can travel around on a big road system. You can head to the town center or go into the deep forest and start your own place.

    They really push the horse start too so you can grab a horse early and get moving. The staff team is active and they are ready to welcome new players.

    Atropolis is a newly opened SMP that is meant for players who are 16 and up. It goes for a semi vanilla feel with some quality of life stuff so it still feels like Minecraft.

    You can expect things like phantoms being turned off and one player sleep. There is also a PvP toggle and some anti grief stuff for certain mobs. Protections and rollbacks are set up too in case something bad happens.

    Keep inventory is on in the nether and the end. The server also uses add ons like Simple Voicechat and Dynamap plus extras like deathcount and head drops. Voice chat and elytra trims are optional.

    For the first big community event the end stays closed for the first week so everyone can open it together. Nether access and nether roof travel are set up at spawn and all kinds of players are welcome.
