ArcticMC is a new survival server that started just a couple days ago. It is an SMP that mixes Towny and factions so you can build a town make alliances and claim land or fight for territory.
PvP matters here and they try to keep it fair with an honor system that is explained in their rules. It also has McMMO skills so you level up stuff like mining and combat while you play.
The server has custom items and even furniture that is entity based and they plan limits per chunk to help with lag. The world uses Tectonic generation so the terrain looks realistic with big mountains and valleys.
The vibe is calm and friendly and more about chilling and exploring instead of chaos all the time.

I found a server where everyone is basically living underground now. There are 16 custom armor sets and each one takes a huge amount of raw ore to make. People log in and just mine for weeks like it is their whole life.
The armor is actually wild. Some sets give night vision underground. Some give haste that keeps building the longer you mine in one direction. Some make mined blocks go straight into your inventory. One even helps crops grow faster just by standing near them.

You play on a custom Earth map and you can start your own civilization and grow it into an empire. Some people focus on peace and building and others go full chaos and try to rewrite the server history.
The economy is player driven and the market changes with supply and demand. There is modern combat with guns and vehicles so wars can flip fast.
Late game does not stop at netherite since there are custom gear options to grind and mix for different playstyles. This is an 18 plus Minecraft server where the best part is the people. The community seems really close and a lot of players have made real friends just by playing together.
At spawn there is a big church that got built so players can get married if they want. The server is not a full roleplay server but it sounds like small roleplay moments are welcome and can be fun.

PurpleSMP is a small chill survival server for people who want to build and play without worrying about griefers or cheaters. PvP is off by default so it stays relaxed but you can toggle it if you want to mess around with friends.
It runs mcMMO so grinding skills and gathering stuff feels more rewarding. There is also a daily double mcMMO XP hour from 6 to 7PM EST so new players do not feel behind.
The economy is player driven with no server shops and no currency. You can claim land to protect your builds and you also get a personal vault for extra storage.
Staff can track block changes and they keep inventory backups for joins leaves and deaths so lost stuff can be reviewed and restored if rules were broken. There is a strong anti cheat that alerts staff in Discord and takes action until someone can review it.
