There is a money system and you can rise in ranks by play time and in game cash. That makes you feel like you are progressing as you play more. You can also mess with configurable tech parts to build factories and chase the big industry life.
It has a bunch of quality of life changes so it does not get boring fast. I saw stuff like legendary fishing you can sell, crates, a server shop, player shops, jobs that pay you for playing, and McMMO leveling. SableCraft is a small semi vanilla SMP that is trying to be a long term survival world. It is not aiming to be some huge public server that resets all the time.

I found FellowshipSMP and it is a new community SMP that just opened last weekend. It is whitelist only and it is 18+ only so it feels more chill and mature.
It is semi vanilla with no ranks and no donor perks. There is no server shop and the economy is diamond based. There are also no teleport shortcuts so travel and bases matter more.
The server uses ValhallaMMO and ValhallaTrinkets for deeper progression. The world uses Terralith generation. Players can run shops with Shopkeepers and rent market space with AdvancedRegionMarket.
There is Bluemap so you can view the world and Bell Claims for land claiming. Phantoms are disabled. The Ender Dragon respawns weekly and it has a reworked multi phase raid boss style fight.

This server is a classic prison grind with that older school feel where you start with basic tools and leather gear and you work your way up.
You mine ores then you actually have to smelt them and move through pvp zones to sell at the commissary so it feels risky and slow in a good way.
There are Guards who help new players and also enforce contraband. Swords and potions are illegal so if a Guard sees you with them they will pvp you. You can even get sent to solitary for bad conduct.
Once you climb the ranks from A through H you can reach Parolee and then Citizen. Parolee lets you leave the prison and build a farm to earn more money. After top rank you can prestige for special rewards.
There are quests for extra cash or special items plus custom fishing. You can rent a cell or a plot to store stuff build and make your own shop. There are illegal special plants you can grow for profit if you do not get caught. There is also an auction house bounties and parkour challenges around the prison.GG.MINEWIND.NET New Server IP
