GOOMB SMP is a vanilla survival server with amplified terrain. The world was reset about a month ago so it still feels like a newer season and people are out building bases all over.
At first the world border made everyone build close together. Now the border has expanded so there is way more space for big plans and new spots to settle. The End is open too and players kicked off an egg hunt event so people can meet up and interact.
The community stays active with shop ads and trading talks and lots of terrain screenshots. Voice chats are usually full of players just hanging out and talking about what they want to build next.

Far to the West SMP is a newly launched modded SMP that is trying to give a forever world kind of experience but with a big fantasy feel.
It has a modpack with a lot of different styles so builders and explorers both have stuff to do. I saw mods like Ice and Fire and Create and Origins and MCA Reborn plus Dungeons And Combat and more.
The vibe is mature and more story based. They already have a base template for lore and it grows based on what players do so your choices matter.

Forseti is a small scale vanilla survival server that keeps things simple and serious. It runs on the original Mojang software so the gameplay feels normal with no plugins changing mechanics.
It is EU based and it is on version 1.21.11. The difficulty is Hard and the view distance is 10 so you still get good visibility while you explore.
There is no land protection and no minigames. There is no real money shop and it is not pay to win. Chat is not meant to be spammy and the main language is English.
Most of the world is fair game but you are not supposed to grief the spawn area. Racism and bullying are not allowed. Cheats exploits and lag machines are also not allowed.

Frontline Combat is a modded team based pvp server with a squad and battlefield style feel.
They run regular events every week and they keep trying to make each one better over time. The server also has custom mods and custom content.

CozyCraft is a calm survival server for people who want to build for a long time and not deal with drama. It is made to feel old school and simple so you can just play Minecraft and enjoy it.
PvP is turned off so it stays cooperative. The world is meant to last forever with no map resets or seasonal wipes. It also keeps plugins to a minimum so it feels mostly vanilla.
