I found a new Minecraft server called MineHaven and it is still in the early stages so they want players who join from the start and help grow the community.
It is a relaxed and friendly place and they do not want toxic behavior. The main thing is Vanilla Survival and it also has separate worlds for building and farming.
There is also Skyblock and OneBlock. They run some quality of life plugins like a live map plus jobs shops claims and skills.

I found the LanderYT SMP and it is a Hermitcraft inspired survival server that has been running different seasons for years. The vibe is community first and they do not allow griefing or random killing.
They run special Life Series events sometimes and this one is a fusion style like Last Life mixed with Secret Life. It starts at 6pm GMT next Saturday and it runs for 2 hours. It happens weekly and can go for up to 8 weeks. They want about 5 to 10 more players to join the current group.
There are a lot of rules for the Life Series. You are not supposed to tryhard and you must use a microphone and have an official Minecraft account. Content creation is a plus and they also like people who play on the main SMP too. Everyone who joins has to fill out an application form.
The server tries to stay close to vanilla. The only teleport command they allow is /spawn in the overworld so people build roads and highways.
