    I found a survival multiplayer server called Origin SMP that just started a new season. It runs on 1.21 and it works for Java and Bedrock.

    The whole vibe is story driven and competitive. There is a tier system with PvP progression so fights actually matter. Proximity voice chat is on too so you can talk in game when you run into people.

    It is semi anarchy with no land claims. The server allows anarchy stuff but random griefing that has no story or purpose can get rolled back to keep the long term world going. The world is finite at 2500 by 2500 blocks so you are way more likely to meet other players.

    It also has artifact style items with randomized perks and you can level them up to get stronger. The community is friendly and active daily and a lot of it is about alliances and betrayal.

    Mythvale is a worldbuilding survival server where players make the history. It is all about building towns and nations then dealing with politics trade and war that comes after.

    It supports both Java and Bedrock so friends can play together. The server is on version 1.21.11 and it is launching soon so joining early matters.

    The world is custom made for exploring and settling. People can found towns claim land and grow big settlements. Wars can happen between nations and land can get taken so choices actually matter.

    The economy is run by players and the politics are also player driven. You can try to stay peaceful make alliances or go full conquer mode and see what story gets written.

    This server is mainly about city building with a big custom terrain world and a tight community that stays active. People team up a lot and you can get feedback on your builds while you work on big projects.

    There is an optional geopolitical roleplay thing going on with lore and worldbuilding. If you want in you can mark a claim and start a story and you can also mark towns and settlements. If you do not care about roleplay you can just build and ignore it.

    You have to apply first before you can join. The application is short and it is mostly there to keep griefers out. After that you can get access to WorldEdit and other helpful commands.

    Rules are pretty laid back and there are events once in a while. Staff and players are usually around to talk and help out.

    ArcticMC Fresh SMP Towny Factions

    ArcticMC is a new survival server that started a couple days ago and it feels pretty chill. It mixes Towny and factions so you can build a town then make friends with other towns or fight for land.

    PVP matters here but it is not just random chaos. They use an honor system and it is explained in their rules so players can keep things fair.

    It also has McMMO skills so you level up while you play and get abilities like TreeCapitation for woodcutting. There are custom items too and they even have furniture that is entity based so they plan to limit it per chunk to help with lag.

    The world uses Tectonic generation so the terrain looks realistic with big mountains and valleys. The community is meant to be calm friendly and kind of atmospheric so you can grind build or just vibe.
