Halcyon is a Lands PvP server that feels like old school Minecraft survival but on the newest version. It was started by a postgraduate medievalist so the whole world has a strong medieval atmosphere. The server is based in Australia but there are players from Europe the Americas and Asia so it is pretty active.
The world is fully handmade with big unique biomes. There is no teleportation so traveling actually matters. Players build long roads waystations and secret underground railways to move around. The F3 menu is turned off so navigation is a real challenge. Some people sell lodestone compasses and others work on giant maps or teach how to navigate by the sun and moon.

NvizionMC is a crossplay SMP that feels really chill and relaxed. It has been open for about a month and there are already around eighty people in the community with a handful on every day. It feels like the kind of place where you can just hop on after school and hang out.

BlockedInMC is a new towny survival server that just opened and it already feels pretty active. You can create your own town with a command and claim land so your stuff is safer. If you do not want to lead a town you can just join someone else and help them grow their place.
The server lets you play how you want. You can work together with others and build up big towns or go solo and try to fight everyone as an underdog and climb the ranks. There is teleport stuff like random tp and tpa so it is easier to get around the world and meet other players.
There are custom structures and custom biomes you can find while exploring so it does not feel like a plain default world. There is also no whitelist so you can join right away and start playing without waiting.

OneCraft is a simple survival SMP that feels like vanilla but with some extra cool stuff. It runs on Minecraft 1.21.9 to 1.21.10 and it supports both Java and Bedrock so more friends can join.
The server uses a few server side mods and datapacks to make the world feel bigger and smoother. There are extra Vanilla plus biomes new structures and dungeon style places to explore. There is also Mine Treasure and some MMO style features so exploring and fighting mobs feels more fun.

This server is called Crafttomuck and it is all about the Create mod. It is a modded survival SMP that is focused on building machines and cool builds. The server is on its fourth season so it feels pretty established and active.
The main world is a survival SMP with Create and a bunch of addons and extra mods. The vibe is friendly and build focused. People like to hang out check out each others bases and just relax and play together. There is a shopping district and a gaming district that keeps growing all the time.
They also run a separate creative server. It uses the same modpack as the main survival world. Players use it to test machines plan bases or just mess around in creative and build whatever they want.
