Everwaves SMP is a vanilla style survival server that feels really clean and simple. The world is pretty new and it just reset so you are not super far behind if you join now.
The server runs Minecraft 1.21.11 and it has a live 3D map you can open in your browser. You can literally watch players move around and build on the map before you even apply. It is cool because you can see the world and the builds first.
The play style is trust based. There are no land claim plugins no towny and no heavy economy plugins. People build and trade in a shared shopping district kind of like Hermitcraft. The goal is big builds shops and long term survival.
They use some light vanilla plus quality of life stuff. There is a DeathChest that holds your items for a short time one sethome command proximity voice chat an armor stands book toggleable phantoms more block variants like extra stairs and trapdoors and some small features like universal dyeing.
The community is whitelisted and moderated. They want a mature friendly player base and the staff try to keep things fair chill and free of grief. There are events too so people can hang out together and not just play alone.
