I found a decent sized survival SMP with around 10 active players and about 5 daily. It is made to feel like classic Minecraft and it stays really close to vanilla.
There are no teleports so no home commands and no player teleport. There are no land claims either. They use CoreProtect to track griefing and they do strict punishments.
There are no kits and no perks and no scripted towns. Players make their own clans and villages and cities without a plugin running everything.

Survive and Thrive SMP is a survival server for players ages 17 and up. It runs on Minecraft 1.21.10 and it supports both Java and Bedrock. You have to apply to get access so it stays more chill and community focused.
The vibe is small and casual and mostly vanilla with some quality of life stuff. Players are encouraged to build wherever they want and take their time. The server is looking for people who will be consistently active and want a friendly tight knit group.
Java players can use Simple Voice Chat for proximity talking. Bedrock players can still talk with Java players using voice channels. There are also features like instanced player loot so chests feel fair. You can toggle pvp on or off. When you die a chest stores your items and it does not expire. WizeCraft is a mature Minecraft server that is looking for more players who are 21 or older and want a friendly place to build and hang out. The vibe is chill and cooperative and not competitive and they want it to feel like a forever world.
The server has a player driven economy that uses diamonds as currency. There are shops at spawn and some farms already made so you can get started faster if you want.
Right by spawn there is a Games district with player made minigames for solo or multiplayer. There are also redstone gambling machines if you are into that kind of stuff.

This is a survival server made by a parent who plays with their kids and wanted it to be way easier to stay together.
It has a custom plugin that lets a parent invite a child to a family group and then teleport them instantly without making the kid deal with requests. There is also an option that makes them spawn close to you when they die so you do not lose each other.

Sunset Retreat is an EU based seasonal survival server with a vanilla plus feel. It is made for players who are 18 and up and it is whitelisted so it stays chill.
