Elysium is a small Java server with multiple worlds and it is looking for more players who are 18+. The server used to be public in 2022 then it closed at the start of 2024. Now it is back with a fresh new server that reopened in early November.
There is a Survival world on 1.21.10 with a 10k by 10k border and mcMMO skills. It tries to feel more vanilla because teleport commands are off except for home bed. People travel using a Nether roof system and there is a spawn shopping area with chest shops that use diamonds.
There is also a Plots world with 85 by 85 plots so builders can work in private. You start with one plot and can earn more as you move up build ranks.
Creative has a superflat freebuild world for bigger community builds. You can build together if everyone agrees and you are not allowed to mess with other peoples builds without permission. There is a Hub world for moving between worlds with spots to chill and an amphitheater for events. There is also a second Creative world that is a perk for build ranks.

MCVerse Permanent No-Grief No-Reset SMP
MCVerse is a place for classic survival where people can grind and build huge projects for the long term. The main idea is no reset and no grief so you can take long breaks and come back without worrying.
The server keeps it close to vanilla with no custom items enchants or skills. There are player markets if you want to skip some grinding or you can do everything the hard way. You can rank up for free just by playing and every perk is free.
Chat is kept clean and swearing is not really allowed. Public chat is mainly for Minecraft and gaming so it stays chill.
There are a few different worlds you can join. The permanent SMP is on 1.21.10 and has stuff like a map claims markets clans and fishing contests. There is also a hardcore vanilla server on 1.21.10 with extra biome scale and coinvestigation for catching trouble.
If you want a simpler vibe there is a vanilla no grief world on 1.21.11 that runs for about 6 to 12 months with only a small claim. There is also creative plots on 1.21.8 for testing and basic experimenting and it even allows litematica pasting.

Atlas is a 1:500 scale Earth Towny server that is all about geopolitics and big nation drama. It feels like a new style of Earth server where people try to carve out real places and turn them into something huge.
Players make nations by claiming a real life city or town then expanding outward as they recruit more people. The more players you bring in the more land you can claim so it turns into a race to grab your dream spot before someone else does.
War is a big part of it too. You can declare wars for land riches or just for the name and the story. The server also has custom stuff like Towny Geopolitica where you can create vassals claim titles and push to become a great power.

Legendary Hardcore is a permanent deathban Hardcore SMP where the world does not reset and there are no revives. It has been running for a year and a ton of players have joined and a lot of them have already died trying to make it.
It stays completely vanilla but it uses plugins that make hardcore more interesting. I saw stuff like player heads and the ability to access dead players enderchests. It also has Simple Voicechat and advanced player statistic tracking plus more.
The whole vibe is player led and unscripted so bases and alliances rise up then fall when people die. There is also a player maintained wiki that tracks the servers history and even documents every player who joins lives and dies.
