Skyfall SMP is a new survival server that is split into two worlds. The ground world is just the normal overworld that everyone knows. You start there and play like regular Minecraft.
The cool part is Skytopia. It is a magical sky world with islands up in the clouds. You do not just spawn there. You have to prove you are worthy first. Once a week there is a special event. Only players who gather the right materials can join that event.
If you do really well in the event you can become a Skytopian. That means you get permanent access to the sky world. Up there the land of clouds has crazy resources and diamond veins appear in big stacks.
The server is not fully open yet but it is coming soon and they are already taking applications for staff and players. There is also a trailer you can watch that shows what the world looks like.

This is a modded Java server called Geopol Reforged and it is all about history themed gameplay. The server uses mods that match different historical time periods so it feels like you are playing in a changing world.
Players run the economy and players also create and lead nations. There are wars between nations and different warfare systems so fights actually matter. There are server wide events and the staff also builds lore for the world so stuff that happens can become part of the story.
The map is not a copy of Earth and it uses terrain generation mods so the world looks different from normal Minecraft. It is a PvP server with warfare and there is no unsanctioned griefing. That means you can fight and raid during war but you are not supposed to randomly destroy stuff for no reason.
The server is for players who are 16 or older. It is on Minecraft 1.20.1 and it has netherite gear and guns but the guns are toned back so it is not totally crazy. There is a grace period and similar protections at the start so new players can get set up before big wars begin.
The discord and the server are still in a startup phase so they are looking for admins playtesters and mods. If you like nations economy roleplay and war this server is built for that style of play.

This is a small hermitcraft style smp that feels pretty chill and simple
It is vanilla so there are no crazy mods and it stays close to normal Minecraft which is nice if you just want to play survival
The server uses simple voice chat so people can actually talk while they build and explore and it feels more like a real group of friends hanging out

This server is called Banana SMP and it runs factions with lifesteal so it is all about pvp and taking hearts from other players.
From what I can see it is focused on team play and raiding so you join a faction and try to get stronger by fighting other people.

This server is called Viking Factions OG and it is made for people who miss old school factions and real 1.8 style combat. It runs on a modern version but the fighting feels like classic 1.8 with fast pot pvp and skill based battles.
The server is focused on classic factions and real cannoning so raiding actually matters. They use complex cannoning and have a balanced economy so it feels fair. There are custom plugins and cosmetic only perks so it is not pay to win and ranks are cheap but not overpowered.
There are custom dungeons with unique loot so you can grind gear and explore. You can also play ranked duels with an ELO system if you like competitive 1v1 pvp. They run KoTH events twice every day so there is always some fight to join.
