This is a small whitelist survival server that is getting members before it even starts. The vibe is mostly vanilla and it is aimed at PvP but it still tries to be fair to builders.
There is a rule that you do not kill people while they are building and you do not grief builds that are meant to look nice. So you can fight but you are not supposed to ruin peoples stuff.
It runs on 1.21.11. There is simple voice chat. There is no tpa and no big changes from normal Minecraft. They might add one or two quality of life features if the players vote for it.
Stuff like rules and the world border will be decided together with everyone.

Eventide SMP is a brand new Minecraft server that just opened up. It is cross platform and it is mostly survival with a semi vanilla feel.
It keeps things close to normal Minecraft with only a few quality of life plugins. The community is whitelisted so you have to apply before you can play.
The server runs on trust and it leans into a player driven economy that feels like those big community survival worlds. There are also events to join so it stays active and fun.
They are looking for mature respectful players who like long term worlds and care about community.

I found LumaMC and it is a survival server built around Towny. Towny is also the main claiming system so you can start your own town or join other player towns and nations to make friends.
It also has mcMMO so you can level up skills over time. There are custom coded items with special abilities so gear can feel different. The economy is player based and it is about gathering resources then producing and trading so supply and demand can change.
There is a Jobs system so you can work for cash and try to climb the ranks or just try to be rich. There is also a Hoarder plugin where you sell bulk items for extra money and the top 4 players get rewarded at the end of each Hoarder event.
If you like creative stuff there is an Artmap plugin for map designs. The world also has dynamic seasons and the time of day and weather syncs to real life for the northern hemisphere. Fishing has competitions plus custom fishing and even the competition fish are custom.
The server talks a lot about future updates and events. They also want players to share feedback and suggestions so the community can help shape it.

This is a fresh SMP that just opened after a lot of testing and bug fixes. It is meant to be a real long term server and not something that dies in a few days.
The style is semi anarchy so it feels wild but it still has simple rules. It also runs light quality of life mods on Fabric so it stays close to survival but smoother.
The world is brand new so nobody is stacked yet and there are no huge untouchable bases. It is supposed to feel like you are joining right at the start with stuff to explore and loot to find.
They also do in game rewards plus community events and invite rewards. Supported versions include 1.21.3 and 1.21.5 or newer. Version 1.21.4 has issues right now.

Rosebloom SMP is a friendly seasonal survival server with Java and Bedrock crossplay. It is built to feel chill and welcoming and it is run by an owner named Heinrich with a staff team that keeps things safe and respectful.
Season 3 starts March 6th and the big twist is everyone begins in the Nether. Players work together to unlock and reach the Overworld and then start exploring the main world. The server also runs community events and you can win in game prizes including valuables.
It supports version 1.21.10 and it has custom biomes plus custom food and crops. There are quality of life plugins a rewards system and seasons that do not drag on forever. Minecraft chat also links with Discord through a bot so people can stay connected even when they are not in game.
The vibe is community first so it is meant for builders explorers miners farmers redstone players and anyone who just wants to hang out. There are still some limits and rules so it does not turn into a mess.
