I found a small community Java survival server that has been running for about 8 months and it is meant to be long term with no wipes planned. It is 16 plus and the people there seem to want a calm and more mature vibe.
The gameplay feels close to vanilla since it uses plugins and not mods. There are no claims and there are no locked chests. There is also no home or teleport commands so you actually travel and build like normal.
Building is a big deal here and people make themed group areas. There are ancient styles like Aztec and Egyptian. There is medieval and a modern city theme too. You can also build sci fi or magic areas plus underground and Asian inspired zones.
They use proximity voice chat and you have to use it. If you like slower progress big builds and long projects this server looks like a good fit.
This is a community driven vanilla SMP that is trying to bring together around 25 to 30 players.
The vibe is chill and respectful. PvP is only allowed if both people agree. Griefing is not allowed. You are expected to respect other players boundaries and builds.
If you want a simple survival place with clear rules and a growing group this server is aiming for that.
NobleSMP is a survival server that feels calm and not toxic. It is made for people who are tired of jumping around and dealing with pay to win stuff.
The gameplay keeps the normal Minecraft feel but adds quality of life changes. Keep Inventory is on so you can explore without losing all your items. There are claims so your base is safer when you are offline.
There is an economy with jobs so you can earn money from things like mining or farming. You can use that money to rank up and you do not need to pay real money for perks.
It is cross platform so you can join from PC console or phone.
New Kronos SMP is a geopolitical survival server that is about nations and territory. It is starting soon and it already has over 40 members so it looks like it will get big fast.
Nations are not confirmed yet so joining early matters a lot. Nation creation applications are open so people can try to claim the land they want before everything fills up.
It also uses mods like Brewery and Immersive Aircraft to make things more interesting. The world map is 20k by 20k right now and it is supposed to expand as more players join.
This is a chill modded SMP on 1.21.1 that leans hard into Create and building big stuff with other people.
The world uses Terralith so the land looks super scenic and lush and it gives a lot of cool places to start a town or a nation.
Players make nations and do lore and community projects. There is lots of automation and tech builds and trains. PvP and conflict is not the main focus and it only happens if nation owners agree.
The mod list is based around Create with add ons plus copycat style building tools. It also has Farmer’s Delight for food and farming plus Macaw’s building mods for extra blocks and decoration. There are YUNG better structure mods and Superb Warfare for extra gear and tech.
The server is up most of the time but you might see random restarts sometimes. They are looking for active players right now.
