Earthus is a dark fantasy survival RPG server where every choice feels huge and nothing is really safe. The world is shaped by magic and blood and all the players walking around leaving marks on the land.
You pick from different magical races with their own history and powers. The server has deep lore and stories you can discover or even help create so it is really focused on roleplay and worldbuilding.
There are custom dungeons and bosses that drop real rewards and there is a special loot system so you get your own loot instead of fighting over empty chests. The enemies are smarter and tougher so you actually have to think before you fight.
If you die you do not just respawn. You wake up in the Nether and have to battle your way back to life so death has real consequences. The world is custom made with weird anomalies ruins and old magic scattered around that you can explore.
Players can steal rival and fight because freedom and survival are a big part of the server. But mass griefing and pointless destruction are not welcome. The staff wants story and conflict that makes sense not random chaos.

I found a whitelisted vanilla survival SMP on 1.21.3 that is meant to be chill and small. It has a few tiny qol plugins but it still tries to feel like normal vanilla.
