This server is called EarthScaleMC and it is a brand new world. The idea is a 1 to 1000 scale map of planet Earth so everything feels like a tiny version of the real world.
The server is made by a small group of friends who got bored and wanted something cool to play. It is set up for both Java and Bedrock so more players can join and play together.
The owner is really open to suggestions so the server can change and grow based on what players want. Since it is new this is a good time to join if you like starting fresh and being there from the beginning.

GildedAbyss is a new modded SMP that is all about the community and how everyone interacts with the world. The server is still very fresh and they are planning Season 1 based on how many people join. There will be events and new stuff added even before the official opening so it feels like the server is growing with the players.
The world has tons of new places to explore with mods like Biomes o Plenty and Terralith. It feels way more adventurous than normal Minecraft. There are also special items you can get through certain methods so you always have something to work toward.
One of the coolest things is Ancestral Archetypes where you choose a sub race in game and use it to your advantage. Progression is also changed with immersive ores that add more ores and new tools and weapons so mining and upgrading feels more fun.
The server uses the Create mod so people can build all kinds of machines as long as they are reasonable. The owner wants lots of suggestions from players and plans to host many events once the server really starts so there should be a lot of group activities.
To join you have to use a ticket system to get whitelisted. You talk with the owner or a moderator and if they think you fit the community they add you. It feels like they want a good friendly group instead of random chaos.

This is a survival server that feels a lot like a big group of friends hanging out. It is made for the players by the players and they really care about the community. There are usually around 10 to 25 people on during the day and more than 100 people in the community overall.
The server is based on a Hermitcraft style SMP. There is a diamond economy with shops and a shopping district. People work on public builds and big projects together. There is also proximity chat and most players use it so talking feels natural and funny when you walk around.
The server tries to stay close to vanilla Minecraft but still adds some fun quality of life and cosmetic plugins. A lot of those plugins come from community requests and polls so players help decide how the server changes over time.

This server is called fatdove and it is a technical Minecraft SMP for players who like serious survival and big redstone projects. It feels like a mix of a friendly community server and a place where people build crazy machines that barely make sense.
The server is whitelisted and it is only for players who are 18 or older. The owner wants mature players who respect each other and like to work together. Hacked clients are not allowed but useful utility mods are welcome.
Right now access to the End is turned off on purpose. This makes everyone stay in the Overworld at the start so people build and progress together instead of rushing to the dragon. The End will open later as a big community event.

This is a semi vanilla survival server called CheesyCraft Redux. It is made for people who like normal survival but also want some special custom stuff.
Most of the code is made by the owner and their team. A lot of the textures are made by the community too so it still feels like Minecraft but also kind of unique.
The server has quality of life commands and features. They try to keep it simple and not spam players with random crates or paid cosmetics or other annoying stuff. It is more about quality than about tons of extra systems.
They use plugins like GriefPrevention and CoreProtect to protect builds and keep the world safe. There is Simple Voice Chat so players who want can talk in game. There is also squaremap for the world map.
The staff and builders are active and help work on the server and its custom content. If you like survival and want to try something custom but still pretty close to vanilla this server feels like a good fit.
