Yo. we are currently on season 14 (been running this server since 2019)
It’s a decent server with chill people. A good bit of us are decent builders. Some of us are good with redstone and create cool contraptions, or simply end up over engineering things.

If you made this far, and do join make sure you read the board at spawn.
At spawn you’ll see our little city that gets pasted into each new season(not always), it’s not a place to build at, just something to look at right when you join. We also tend to add things to it each season. Right out the main gate of spawn you’ll find the Shopping District, once you get yourself some diamonds to make a stop there, or even get your own spot going.

    I found a server that feels like a small experiment with big consequences. It starts as a small group and it never goes over 10 players so every person matters.

    It is like a life steal vibe but without stealing hearts from others. When you die you pretty much lose 2 hearts and after you die 5 times total you get banned so you have to play careful.

    It supports voice chat and that can make random alliances and betrayals happen fast. There are no land claims so bases can get raided and fights can pop off when people get geared.

    There are no resets and there are no shops teleports or homes. It is just survival and whatever drama the players create.

    VitaNova SMP Economy With Claims

    VitaNova is a semi vanilla SMP that tries to keep the normal Minecraft feel but adds a lot of extra stuff to work toward. It supports Java and Bedrock together and it runs on 1.21+.

    The server has a growing economy vibe and it pushes progression with quests. You can earn rewards and unlock ranks just by playing and it is meant to be fully free to play with no pay to win locks.

    Building is safer because you can claim land with a protection plugin so your stuff is harder to mess with. There is also a custom world to explore with custom structures to find.

    If you like grinding side systems there is custom fishing with rarities and tournaments plus upgraded farming and custom enchantments for combat and mining. They also mention regular events and an active friendly community.

    Bagel SMP is a semi vanilla survival server with pvp and raiding. It is made for players who want action but still want it to feel like normal Minecraft.

    The staff listens a lot and they want suggestions and feedback from the community. They also run events so there is usually something going on.

    They have a low tolerance for cheating and rule breaking. Bases can get raided so you should hide your stuff well and play smart.

    The server also talks about maybe doing a peaceful option later. They want to hear more from players first.

    Brutal Geopolitics Survival Where Nations Clash

    I found a survival server that goes hard on world building and geopolitics. Players make nations and the whole world is about diplomacy war economy and just staying alive.

    It runs on 1.21.11 and it lets people join on different versions with ViaBackward. The world starts at 5000 by 5000 and it can expand when more players show up.

    Travel is a big deal because there are no elytras. There are also no villagers so you cannot just trade forever. Crafting is tougher with custom recipes and netherite is 1 to 1 so it is not free.

    Claims and borders are handled with a lands system so nations can hold territory. Roads and rails matter too since you move faster on proper roads and minecarts go way faster on powered rails.

    There is a grindstone rework that lets you pull enchantments off and turn them into books. Farming and fishing are reworked so food and loot take more planning. You can also silk touch spawners and move them which changes defense and farming a lot.

    The rarest thing is the mace since only ten exist on the whole server and each player can only craft one. Enchantments on it are restricted so it stays balanced and feels like a real legendary item.
