This is a community centered SMP that feels like a big friend group. The server is built by the players and for the players and there are usually a bunch of people online every day with many more in the overall community.
The world is set up like a Hermitcraft style server. There is a diamond based economy with a shopping district plus public builds and big projects. Players use proximity chat a lot and there are homes and player warps to get around easier.
The server adds cosmetic and quality of life plugins that the community asks for. People vote on changes with polls so the server can grow in the direction the players want while still keeping a vanilla style experience.
It runs on Minecraft 1.21.10 Java only. The server is whitelisted and it is 18 plus so it is meant for adults who want a chill and active community.

This server is called WorksAsIntended and it is a pure vanilla anarchy world.
There are no rules and nothing is patched so people can do what they want as long as it is in the official jar file. It is running a Minecraft snapshot version right now.
The server updates about every week. The players vote on which official version to move to next. They go through every official server version including snapshots and even april fools ones.
If you want a place where anything can happen and every version gets a turn this server is made for that.

Kronos SMP is a full Earth server where the map is scaled to 1 to 500 so the continents are actually huge and oceans really matter. Everyone starts in a completely fresh world so there are no old nations or ruined bases and no stacked empires waiting for you.
You pick a real location then you claim it and defend it or try to take someone else’s land. The whole server is about nations and geopolitics more than grinding. Small factions can grow into full countries and players use diplomacy alliances wars and backstabbing to change the borders.
The economy is run by players so power comes from the land you hold and the people who follow you instead of kits. When wars happen territory really changes hands so nothing is just cosmetic. Admins say they do not play favorites and there is no pay to win.
This server is for people who like planning and strategy and big maps with history and drama that actually affects the world. It is not really a chill SMP. The server runs on Java Edition 1.20.1 and is hosted on strong hardware to support large player counts without lag.

Marthia Nations is a semi vanilla server that feels like a big long story. It used to be a normal SMP and slowly turned into a nations server. The current world has been running for over three years so there is a lot of history everywhere you go.
On this server people build empires and fight battles. You can use working ships and planes with plugins like Movecraft. Some people focus on wars and strategy. Other players just build a small quiet base and relax. It really depends on what you like.
There are plugins like Brewery where you can make drinks and Dynmap so you can see the world map in real time. Geyser lets more players join in different ways. The server is semi vanilla so it still feels like normal Minecraft but with extra tools.

This is a big civilization style Minecraft event with room for 100 players. It is inspired by Ishs civilization events so it has that kind of organized and competitive vibe.
To join you have to go to their discord and submit an application. So it is not just randoms joining and leaving all the time. It feels more serious and more focused on people who actually want to play.
The owner says they have strong hardware with 64 gigabytes of ram and an intel xeon silver cpu and a big ssd. So the server should run smooth when a lot of players are online.
If you want a big event with lots of players and more of a civilization feel instead of just normal survival this server looks pretty cool.
