DeerCraft is coming back with a new modded world and it actually looks kind of crazy.
This time it is all about the Sculk. The map has a new story and new challenges so you do not just spawn in and vibe. You explore through infected areas and use gear that advanced players left behind for you.
The server runs on Java 1.21.1 and it is fully modded so it is not just normal vanilla stuff. You can invite your friends and try to fight the Sculk or maybe join it if you feel evil.
It really feels like a new era for the server and they even have a set return date so people can plan to join right when it opens.

This server is called Runecraft and it is all about player made nations. Players build their own groups and run things together instead of the server doing everything for you.
There is a custom gui and mods so stuff does not feel like boring normal vanilla. There are over 20 new ores and new armor sets and tools so you always have something else to grind for. There are also loads of new mobs so the world feels a lot more alive and dangerous.
The staff is active and they keep the server running and help out. There are invite perks and booster perks too. The cool part is it is not pay to win because the things you can pay for are still obtainable in game if you work hard enough.
Overall it feels like a grindy but fair server where nations fight and grow and you always have new gear to craft and new mobs to battle.

Foggy Willows is a real vanilla survival server. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no plugins and no datapacks. It feels like playing singleplayer but with other people around.
There is no big fancy spawn or long rules to read. You just join and start surviving. You have to handle your own social stuff with other players. You can play how you want and build what you want. Technical players are welcome too.
The server is always on the latest stable vanilla jar. It is self hosted on a machine made just for it. There are no donations at all.
There is no world border and no teleport or sethome commands. It is hard mode so mobs hit hard and you really have to try to stay alive.

This is a creative city build server that feels like a long running world. The map is custom and really big and everyone is focused on building cool cities and towns together.
There is optional geopolitical roleplay so players can mark claims and even towns on the map and make their own stories. If you do not like roleplay you can still just build and hang out. The roleplay is not forced.
The community is tight knit and people seem pretty active. Staff and players are around a lot and they talk about life and also give build advice. People team up on projects and do worldbuilding together.
You have to join and do a short application first. It is mostly there to keep out griefers and to give trusted players tools like world edit and other helpful commands. The rules sound laid back but still focused on keeping the server safe.

SurvivalTales SMP is a new semi vanilla survival server that just opened and is looking for more players to join. It feels like regular Minecraft but with some extra stuff to make it more fun.
The server has cross play so both Java and Bedrock players can join the same world. There are custom world generations and hand made structures in the Overworld the Nether and the End so exploring actually feels new.
It has anti grief so you do not have to worry as much about people ruining your builds. There is a player based economy and the grind is slower so progress feels earned instead of super fast. You can see a live map of the world too which makes it easier to find your way around.
You can earn ranks just by voting and there is no pay to win at all. The community is friendly and based in the EU and the whole server is focused on giving a better and fun semi vanilla survival experience.
