WinterMC is a modded survival SMP with over 120 mods and it just started a brand new world so everyone is jumping in at the same time.
It feels pretty chill and relaxed and it is more about building and exploring without constant chaos. Your builds can be protected with chunk claiming so griefing is not really the vibe here.
The world gen is custom and it uses Regions Unexplored with big terrain and continents and islands. There are also more structures like better dungeons and strongholds and mineshafts plus cooler caves so exploring stays interesting.
If you like tech stuff you can build machines and factories with Create and rail builds with Steam n Rails and addons. Survival also gets deeper with food and farming mods like Farmers Delight and stuff like Aquaculture 2 and Vinery and Herbal Brews. Xapros SMP is a chill vanilla Minecraft server made for adults. The community is 18+ and has players from all over the world so different time zones help keep it feeling alive.
The world started in January 2025 and it is meant to be long term with no resets. People build big projects and there is usually a solid crowd online around peak times.
It runs on Fabric not Spigot or Paper so redstone and farms act like singleplayer. Performance is a big focus and they say it stays smooth even when players do a lot.

They focus on a real economy and they even disabled netherite upgrades for now so max gear takes more grinding and skill. It is also meant to run smooth since they use a custom optimized Paper fork and say it stays at 20 TPS.
It is zero pay to win so you cannot buy unbans crate keys or god gear. They still do events a lot.
They also support both premium and cracked and they say it is secured with backend proxy auth. The community is supposed to be active and player driven with PvP economy and votes where players get a say.
SpongeTopia is a vanilla plus survival SMP where the world feels like a constant war zone. It is made for players who want PvP all the time and do not want safety or protection.
Raiding is enabled so bases can get blown open and looted. Griefing is also allowed so if you build something and cannot defend it then it can be taken down.

The whole point is making a nation and helping shape the lore with everyone else. People play it like a big community story and there is even an international news channel where you can keep up with what is happening.
Movecraft is the main plugin so players can build ships tanks and planes out of blocks. It also has Brewery X plus lands a market an auction house a stock market guns seazones and more.
It is not just a military server even with all the gear. It is more about worldbuilding and building a lore saga together. The server is in a small development break right now to make room for new players and new nations.
