This server is built for players who want a long term place to play and build. The main world is permanent and does not reset so you can work on big projects and still take long breaks without worrying about grief or losing your stuff.
The gameplay is almost pure vanilla. There are no custom items or custom enchants or skills. There are some teleport options and a few quality of life features and some tools for builders like armor stand tools mini blocks and decorative heads.
The public chat is kept very clean with low tolerance for swearing. Chat is mostly for Minecraft and gaming talk so the vibe stays focused on the game. You can play like it is singleplayer or you can trade and use player markets to skip part of the grind if you want. You can also just ignore markets and mine everything yourself.
There are multiple experiences on the network. There is a permanent survival world with claims a map markets clans and fishing contests. There is a hardcore vanilla world with no grief and bigger biomes. There is also a vanilla no grief world that runs for a shorter time and has very few plugins plus a creative plots server for testing and simple building.
Ranks and perks are earned for free as you play. Events are usually created by players and supported by the admins. The community has people from different countries and a wide age range so it feels pretty relaxed and welcoming.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy Minecraft server that tries to feel like pure vanilla survival with almost no limits. It started in October 2024 and the world is meant to last with no map resets so everything you build or destroy stays.
You can join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 and they recommend playing on 1.21.10 so things work better. The server runs all day and night so you can hop on whenever you want. The world border is huge at 2 million blocks each way so there is tons of space to explore and hide.
The play style is really loose. PvP is fully allowed and so is griefing. There is no pay to win and there is no teleporting commands besides a simple spawn command. That is only there so players really far out can get back to civilization if they want. Nether roof travel is allowed and phantoms are removed and only half the players have to sleep to skip the night so survival is a bit less annoying.
Even though it is semi anarchy there are a few basic rules. Stuff like exploits lag machines and duping are not allowed. You also cannot spam or use harassment or racial slurs in chat. Besides that people are pretty much free to play how they want and make their own stories on the server.

This server is a fantasy style Minecraft RPG made by a team called Imperium. It has a bunch of custom mechanics that I have not really seen before.
You can actually draw spells to cast them which feels super cool. There are also bases that are kind of like deepwoken style so it feels different from normal Minecraft servers.
The server cares about both PvP and PvE. So if you like fighting other players you can do that. If you like fighting mobs and doing more adventure stuff you can do that too. It is trying to make both types of players happy.
I do not see any special rules listed or versions written down. It mostly looks like a place for people who want something new and more intense than a normal survival or minigame server.

Actrull is a modded Minecraft server that is just starting up and it already looks really cool.
The server is focused on big tech and science mods. They use Hbm and Mekanism and Thermal Expansion and Galacticraft. So you can build a ton of machines go to space and do a lot of advanced stuff instead of just normal vanilla survival.
The community is LGBTQ friendly and they are looking for more people to join and grow with them. It feels like a place for players who want a chill modded world and like messing with complex mods and exploring new content.

Foggy Willows is a server for players who really want vanilla survival with no extra stuff. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar and there are no plugins or datapacks at all. It feels like singleplayer but with other people around.
There is no big fancy spawn and no long story you have to read. You just join and start playing. You can build what you want and play how you want. People are expected to handle their own problems with other players.
The server is in hard mode and stays on the latest stable vanilla version. There is no teleport and no sethome so traveling and exploring actually matters. There is no world border so you can go as far as you want.
There are no donations and no perks so everyone is equal. Technical Minecraft players are welcome because the server is kept fully vanilla and self hosted on a machine made just for it.
