    Halcyon is a Lands PvP server that goes for a real medieval vibe with an old school survival feel. It was started by a postgraduate medievalist and it runs on the latest vanilla Minecraft version 1.21.11. The server is based in Australia but people also play from Europe the Americas and Asia and it usually has about 10 to 30 players on at once.

    The world is handmade and the rules are set up to make the game harder and slower. It tries to push players away from meta strategies and toward creativity teamwork and specialisation. Doing well is more about big brave fights smart deals building strong cities and fortresses and getting other players to follow you.

    There is no teleportation so travel matters a lot. Players end up making roads waystations and secret railways underground to get around. Some crops and saplings only work in certain biomes so trading becomes important and different areas start to feel unique.

    You do not have to follow strict lore and there is no pre built story. You can just start like normal and then your own story grows as other players get involved and people even make art books myths and superstitions.

    Season 2 is a fresh start and it adds a huge new thing called the Wasteland Dimension. It brings new gear to fight over plus mega structures and mysteries to explore. It also has its own currency so players can build a new economy and trade.

    There is a new spawn and the Wasteland map is custom generated with special features you will not find in normal worlds.
