This is a semi vanilla survival server that feels really focused on community and fair play. It is all about normal Minecraft survival but with a few helpful features.
The server uses diamonds as the main money so players trade and build shops with them. There are player shops plus a shops gui so it is easy to buy and sell stuff. You can claim land with a golden shovel so your builds stay safe and grief free.
There are separate resource worlds so the main world stays clean for building. There is also a live world map you can see in your browser which is pretty cool for exploring and planning bases.
The server is pve focused and there is no keep inventory so it still feels like real survival. There are ranks and vote rewards that you earn just by playing so it rewards people who stick around.
It supports both Java and Bedrock so players from different platforms can play together. The community is described as friendly and there are active weekly events so it sounds like people actually play and hang out a lot.

This is a simple SMP server with a really friendly vibe. It runs with no mods so it feels like normal Minecraft.
The only commands you get are team and tpa. So you can team up with people and teleport to each other and play together.
Everyone is welcome here and the community is very friendly. If you just want a chill survival world with no crazy plugins and no lag this server fits that.

This server is called The Coffee Pot Network and it feels like a small chill place made for adults. It runs a network on version 1.21.1 and has multiple worlds you can hop between. You have to join their greylist through Discord before you can actually build but once you are in any member can promote you so it is pretty relaxed.
The main world is a survival server with light plugins for land claiming and a simple economy. People are building bases farms and trading hubs there so it feels like a normal SMP but with some protection. There is also a creative world where you get a big claim and can test huge builds or designs before using them in survival.
They have a hardcore world where if anyone dies the whole world gets wiped and restarted. So everyone has to play super careful together. There is also an exploration world that is an old realm kept in adventure mode where you can just walk around and see what was built over the years.
There is a separate modded server running Cobblemon that is whitelisted. They are waiting for a Create mod update before they reset and fully open it but you can ask to be added if you want to play there. Overall the server is pretty small but active and friendly and it looks like they are trying to build a solid adult community instead of just random chaos.

Eclipsia SMP is a modded Minecraft server that runs on version 1.20.1. It has a small but growing community and feels really cozy and relaxed.

This is a Hermitcraft inspired SMP that just started season 3 and it feels really fresh and fun.
The server uses Simple Voice Chat so people can talk in game without having to leave Minecraft. There is Audio Player so you can use custom music discs and goat horns. They also use Carpet to add stuff like renewable deepslate and player bots so you can AFK farms.
There are cool cosmetic things like Tool Trims and custom model support plus a server side skin system so you can change your skin with a command. Image2Map lets players turn pictures into maps which is really good for art and signs.
The server has a bunch of datapacks. There are more mob heads and player head drops. Elytra trims and armor statues let people decorate more. Silence Mobs lets you quiet mobs with a nametag. There are smaller blocks in the stonecutter and wood can be used in the stonecutter too.
Recipe tweaks let you change things like dropper to dispenser universal dyeing sandstone dyeing and downcraftable nether wart and ice. Blaze and Caves advancement pack adds over 1000 new advancements so there is always something to work on.
From what I can see this server is for players who like long term survival and building up a world together with a lot of small quality of life changes instead of crazy mods.
