This server is called Cozy Craft and it is all about simple survival.
When I joined it felt really clean and not full of random stuff. It is semi vanilla so it feels like normal Minecraft. The focus is just surviving and building with other people.
There are only minimal plugins. Nothing crazy or confusing. It just feels like Minecraft the way it is supposed to be. The server wants to be long term so you can actually stay and work on big projects.
The community is SMP style and seems pretty chill. It is more about playing together and not about weird game modes. If you just want a calm survival world with other players this server fits that really well.

Twix SMP is a Java vanilla server that is all about building and chill vibes. When I joined it felt like a small friendly world where people just want to make cool bases and hang out.
The server is based in the EU but there are players from different places too. It is mostly vanilla with a few small quality of life tweaks that make building more fun but it still feels like normal Minecraft.
There is no PvP allowed so you do not have to worry about getting randomly killed. It is more about relaxing building and playing with people who like the same thing.
They also have an active event manager team that hosts events on a regular basis. So sometimes you can just chill and build and other times you can join in on community events.
The community is growing and very welcoming. They are looking for new long term players who want to stick around and become part of the group. If you like building and chilling with like minded people this server fits really well.

PurpleSMP is a survival server that is made to be a forever world. The owner was tired of worlds getting deleted after putting in a ton of hours so this one is meant to stay. You can just relax build and grind knowing your stuff will not get wiped.
The server uses mcMMO so your skills level up as you play which makes normal gameplay feel way more fun. There is land claiming so you can keep your base safe from grief. There is also optional pvp so you can turn it on or off whenever you want which is nice if you just want to chill.
There is Brewery so you can brew and age custom drinks and there are extra vaults for more storage when you go on adventures. The server is crossplay so people on different devices can still play together.
You have to be in the discord to play so everyone can be organized and the community can stay decent. Overall it feels like a place to make long term projects meet some new people and find a base you can actually keep.

This is a simple vanilla SMP where you just play normal survival and relax. There are no crazy plugins so it feels like regular Minecraft.
The server has a no griefing rule and they say it is actually enforced. There is also an anticheat so people cannot just hack around and ruin it.
It is not an anarchy server at all. If you join just to grief you will probably get banned.
The hardware is pretty good so you should not have to deal with lag. It is just a place to play survival Minecraft the way most people know and like.

This is a community focused survival server that feels like a big friend group. The players built it for other players and it shows because people actually talk and hang out and not just grind alone.
The server is based on a Hermitcraft style SMP. There is a diamond economy and a shopping district plus public builds and big projects people work on together. Most players use proximity chat so when you walk near someone you can hear them and that makes everything way more funny and chaotic.
They try to keep the game close to vanilla but they add some cosmetic and quality of life plugins. New plugins usually come from community requests and polls so the community decides how the server grows.
It is a whitelisted server for Java only and it is for 18+ players. There are usually a handful of people online at most times of the day and there is a larger active community behind that. If you want an adult SMP with voice chat and shared projects this server fits that style.
