AeternalCiv is a geopolitical civilization building server where players try to forge their own destiny. You can live as a citizen or rule as a king or queen or just hide out as a hermit and do your own thing.
The server uses reinforcement with Citadel and it has Snitchmod so actions can get tracked. There is also Slimefun for extra crafting and tech plus Movecraft for vehicles.
It also runs Origins and Brewery and ValhallaMMO with seasons and levelled mobs. There are RPG mechanics and custom recipes and more stuff is planned since it is still in active development.
It started as a small server for four friends and now they want more people to join so the world feels alive and full of stories.
FabricCraft is a survival server that sticks close to real vanilla mechanics because it runs on Fabric. It feels like the kind of place where farms and redstone are supposed to work the normal way and not get weird nerfs.
It is semi anarchy so players have a lot of freedom. There are no land claims and there are no world resets so the world stays persistent and player made. You will see trading and alliances plus rivalries and raids over time.
There is a rule against griefing within 1k of spawn and it is handled by active moderation instead of claims. Hacked clients and any mods that give you an advantage are not allowed.
There is also a server wide simple voice chat mod you can use. If you like building there is a creative world with no plots and no space limits so people can test builds before using them in survival. If you like speedrunning there is a manhunt gamemode too.
CaliCraft is a player run democracy server based out of California and it has multiple gamemodes you can jump into from a lobby.
The big twist is the Emperor elections every two weeks. Players vote and the winner gets real power over the server. They can add or remove plugins across gamemodes and make laws and even imprison people including staff. If you get marked as a fugitive you can end up spawning in prison when you die or get dragged in if caught. The Emperor still has to follow a Constitution and temporary laws can happen during their reign. Some laws can turn permanent through a Discord poll.
There is Modded Survival with custom enchantments and skills and jobs and an auction house plus an economy and custom dungeons. It also has vote crates with strong gear and it is a claim world with a kingdom run by the Emperor.
There is also Vanilla Survival with quality of life stuff like quests and chest sorting and daily rewards. Skyblock is here too with classic island gameplay and some extra addons.
Cobblemon is a separate Fabric server and you need the Cobblemon modpack to play it. You can catch and train and battle Pokemon in Minecraft and you can swap over using the cobblemon NPC at spawn or the server command.
The server also uses a custom resource pack with unique mobs and animals plus elites and dungeon bosses with special drops so it does not feel like normal vanilla exploration.
Awesome SMP is a new survival multiplayer server with a Lifesteal system so fights actually matter. If you kill someone you take their hearts and if you lose all your hearts you are out so it feels high risk all the time.
It is not just plain PvP though because it also has mods that give you real stuff to do. Create is there for big machines and factories and crazy contraptions. Farmer’s Delight adds more farming and cooking so you can run a whole food setup. Backpack helps you carry more on trips and Gravestone helps keep your loot safe when you die.
The owner is active and the world is fresh with plans to keep it going long term. The vibe is competitive but not chaotic so builders grinders and PvP players can all fit in.
I found a small semi vanilla SMP that is in testing right now.
The plan is to fully start in about a week so it feels like an early join kind of server.
It is meant to stay close to normal survival and keep things simple with a small group vibe.
