Haven SMP is a chill semi vanilla survival server that feels inspired by Hermitcraft. It is player driven so people build and make stuff together over a long time.
It is an 18 plus community with friendly respectful players. There is no forced lore and no pressure to do PvP so you can just relax and play.
The world is the kind that grows slowly with builds and stories that happen naturally. The server is on version 1.21.11.

SableCraft is a small vanilla SMP that is being set up for the long run. It is not trying to be a giant public place that resets all the time. The idea is to start from the beginning and grow a real group that stays.
The server vibe is chill and respectful. Builders casual players and creators are welcome. They also say no pay to win no anarchy and no drama.
The direction of the server is meant to be community driven from day 1. Season 1 player applications are part of the setup and there are optional staff applications too. Launch is coming soon and updates are shared through their Discord.

BlueHat SMP is a semi anarchy survival server that tries to stay out of your way so you can just play.
There are no land claims and there is not some huge rulebook. You can build big bases raid other players make alliances and start wars if you want.
The rules are simple do not cheat and do not be genuinely awful to people outside the game. Everything else is pretty much allowed.
It is on the latest version for Java. There are also races if you want to be different.

I found a Minecraft server project that is really focused on using a custom launcher instead of public mod platforms or generic launchers.
The main point is making it easier for players to get in fast and making things feel more professional. The launcher setup is meant to give better control over updates and add integrated authentication.
It can also handle Java versions and check files so the game is ready before you join. It also connects players to news the shop and the community in one place.

I found a really new Towny survival server that started as a streaming server and now it is trying to grow into a bigger community.
The vibe is pretty chill and griefing and stealing are not allowed. The world never resets so you can keep building long term.
It has ingame ranks that use ingame money. There is a dynmap so you can see the world. You can use player warps and set up player shops. There is also a sell only server shop plus Jobs and MCMMO.
Most players are in the Oceania region. It usually has around 30 daily active players and it gets extra active during Twitch streams with 10 or more online. There is an upcoming town rating event that happens on stream.
It supports Java version 1.21.10 or similar and it also has a Bedrock port.
