Dawnpeak SMP 1.21.10 is a survival server that tries to make the world feel alive and kind of mystical. It is built for people who are tired of the same old loop and want survival to feel like a real story.
Progress is slower so upgrades feel earned and there are no shortcuts. The difficulty is hard and the server is unforgiving so mistakes actually matter.
I also saw proximity voice chat so talking to nearby players feels natural and can get chaotic fast. There are custom mobs and big boss fights that are meant to be intense and rewarding.
Exploration is a big deal here with custom structures hidden areas dungeons and weird encounters. There is Towny and an economy too so you can make a town or clan and deal with other groups through trade diplomacy or fighting.

NerdNu is a medium sized Minecraft community server that tries to keep the mostly vanilla feel while still having that old school multiplayer belonging vibe. The PvE server has been updated to 1.21.10 and it is survival mode with no player fighting so you only worry about mobs. People work together a lot and build towns and cities. The PvE map reset on September 19th so it is a good time to jump in.
They also run community games nights on Fridays at 7:30pm eastern and Saturdays at 1pm eastern. Different towns or players host stuff like spleef thimble and ice boat races. There is also an event called Alphabet Soup where you unscramble Minecraft item names then race to gather or craft them.
There is a Creative server too with mostly open world building and a mix of normal generated terrain and world painted areas. You can protect your builds and WorldEdit is free to use. XYZ Vanilla is a survival server that feels close to normal Minecraft but it still has a few plugins and gamerule changes to make things smoother. It is semi vanilla and semi anarchy so you can expect a lot of freedom and some chaos.
It works for both Java and Bedrock players. The server is new and it started on January 15th 2026.
The world has a 3 million border and the nether and end are set smaller for now but they can get expanded as more players join. There are no map resets and nether roof access is turned on.
It is on hard difficulty. Night can be skipped when 25 percent of players sleep. Your respawn spot can be spread out more around spawn. Phantoms are optional and you can toggle them with a command.
