Realm of Thrones is a small crossplay SMP where players build nations and try to become the top empire. It feels like a mix of civilization building and PvP where wars can happen but peace and trade can matter too.
You can level up your kingdom and rise through ranks using in game money and play time. As you grow you get more access and prestige so it feels like you are always moving forward.
There are configurable tech components so people can make factory style builds and go full industry mode. The server also has a bunch of quality of life changes so there is usually something to do.
Players can fish for legendary catches then sell them. There are crates if you want to test your luck. You can use the server shop or make your own shop. You can take jobs and get paid for playing while you level them. McMMO is here too and there are about 25 new quests that just launched as a test with more planned later.
I found a modded Minecraft SMP that is growing fast and it is trying to get new people in early while the world is still pretty fresh.
The server has deep lore and it is heading into season 2 with a big fantasy theme. The story is about dragons and monsters and the land is supposed to be full of them. With the Ice and Fire mod you can search for dragons fight them and even tame your own.
You can play as a monarch running a kingdom or be a warrior or just be a tavernkeep. There are also other monsters plus custom structures and dungeons to explore.
The world border is kept smaller so players stay closer together then it expands over time. People are encouraged to form settlements and player houses. PVP is allowed but random killing is not the vibe and wars are meant to be more formal.
The server uses a whitelist so you have to apply first.
I found a new survival server that is mostly vanilla but it uses plugins like lifesteal and voice chat. It is made for people who want chaos but still want a decent community too.
This server is pretty anarchy so you can kill people do pvp betray and grief. It is not a cheat server though since hacks and cheats are not allowed.
Right now it only has a few members so it feels fresh and open. The owner is also thinking about changing things over time so it might evolve.

I found a new custom modded RPG server that has been getting delayed a bunch because the team wanted it to be better. People have been watching it for a while and it sounds like they kept pushing the date back for quality.
Now they are saying the last setback should be this one and the server is set to launch this Saturday on the 21st. It feels like a big launch day thing and they want a crowd there right when it opens.
New Dawn SMP is a community driven vanilla survival server where people build explore and make stuff together. The world launched Nov 8th and it runs on Java 1.21.11. It also supports Java and Bedrock.
It is whitelisted and it is made for players who want a long lasting SMP. People set up towns trade and work on big shared projects and megabuilds. There is a diamond based economy with districts for shopping games and minigames.
It uses Vanilla Tweaks datapacks plus Armor Poser and a Timber plugin that is meant to stay vanilla feeling. There are survival minigames Minecraft events and even non Minecraft game nights. Chat is connected between Discord and in game.
The vibe is friendly and mature and it is 16+. The rules are clear with no griefing no stealing and no toxicity. The server also uses a whitelist honour system so the gameplay stays trust based.
