This server is a community survival world that is trying really hard to stay free forever and still be fun. It is in beta and the owner self hosts it so it is not going away just because money runs out. There are no paid ranks no donation goals and no pay to win stuff so players can just relax and play.
The server uses a player driven economy. You can take jobs to earn money and then use that money with shopkeepers to make your own little stores and trade with other players. It feels like the market only grows if the players actually use it.
There is also an objective based rank system. You do tasks and complete goals to rank up and each rank gives you new rewards and features. So your progress is about what you do and how long you play.
You can get custom items and cosmetics just by playing a lot or by buying them with in game money from the player market. Some of the rewards come from events too.
Right now there is a winter event going on. The world has snow and if you join during the event you can earn Christmas themed tools and unique pets and some other holiday rewards just by playing.
