Helvetia SMP is a whitelisted semi vanilla survival server that just launched. It feels chill and small so it is easy to find people to talk to and play with.
The rules are light. Do not grief builds but PvP is fair game. The point is to build explore and hang out without a bunch of stress.
It runs on Paper 1.21.3 with minimal plugins so it still feels close to vanilla. Simple Voice Chat is installed. They might add features later if the community asks for it.
The world border is set to 10k for now. All ages are welcome.

Waystone is a small whitelisted Java SMP on 1.21.11 with a hermitcraft style vibe. It has been on the same world since 2 December 2025 and it does not do resets or seasons. There is also no economy so it feels more like normal survival where you really settle in.
There are towns already starting up and the community is meant to be close. It sounds like the kind of server where people actually know each other and spend time building stuff they are proud of.
There are no teleport commands. Travel is done with waystones around the world so moving around feels important and it pushes you to explore.
The server uses ValhallaMMO skills that level up while you play. There are also playtime ranks so the longer you are around the more you unlock. It has custom plugins made for the server like binbag for clearing junk and salvage for getting materials back.
SimpleVoiceChat is used so you can talk with proximity chat or groups. They do weekly events and they talk about changes before they happen. Staff also play on the server.

You can start your own land and build it up from nothing then invite other players to join you. People can work together to expand territory and turn their land into something strong.
It is not only building though because lands can go to war. You can fight other groups for dominance and defend what you claim.
The economy is dynamic so prices change based on supply and demand. You can sell to raise stock and buy when stuff is low and try to play the market.

This server feels like a real world that just keeps going. There are no resets and it is all player built and player ran. The admins do not step in and you are supposed to handle things with the mechanics and your group.
You can reinforce your builds with Citadel so bases can be really hard to raid. Farming and mining are different too since some crops and ores only work in certain biomes. Crops can keep growing while you are offline and you can boost grow time with fertilizer.
Ores show up as you mine and better pickaxes help your rates. Different biomes and Y levels change what you find. Some resources are stuck to certain regions so players actually have to travel and trade.
There are snitches that alert you when someone enters your area. If someone keeps griefing there is a justice system with ExilePearls that can banish them to the End dimension.
