This server is a small hermit craft style SMP that has been running for about two months. It feels like a survival world where people like to help each other and build together.
When I joined it felt really friendly and chill. Even though the world is not brand new it does not feel like you are behind. New players can still start fresh and be part of everything.
The community seems to like working together and being active. People talk help out and make sure no one is left alone. If you want a calm survival place with nice players this server fits that really well.

This is a 16 plus Minecraft server that is hosted in the UK and it is online all day and night so it is really good for players in the UK and Europe. Most of the people are 21 or older and they want more older players to join so it feels like a mature chill place.
The world is built around big themed areas. The players are trying to make huge immersive landscapes instead of just random bases. Right now there are six main themes. Sol is an ancient area with Aztec and Egypt style builds. Greenland is an underground theme. Extora is a mix of sci fi and magic. Latvia is a medieval themed zone. Metrovia is a modern city. There is also an Asian area with temple style builds.
There are around 20 to 25 active players and they mostly just hang out and play a lot of Minecraft. There are no land claims and no griefing is allowed and there is no PVP. They also say they do not plan to ever reset the world so you can build long term projects.
There are a few gamerule changes and some plugins but the server still feels like vanilla. There is no tp command and no home command so you have to travel normally. VoiceChatMod is required if you want to join. To get in you fill out a form and if you get accepted someone messages you on reddit usually within a day.

ElyriaMC is a small Minecraft network that is getting ready to open and it starts with a Survival server. The owners have been in the Minecraft community for over ten years and they have been both players and staff on different servers.
The server is meant to feel calm and fair for players and staff. The staff style here is not about power. The rules are meant to be clear and decisions are meant to be fair. This server is called PlanB and it is a semi vanilla world that feels a lot like Hermitcraft. The season is pretty fresh and they just updated to a new version. The world border was extended so there is new land to explore and build on.
The difficulty is always set to hard so you actually have to try and survive. They run on Fabric with carefully picked plugins and data packs so it still feels close to normal Minecraft but with some smart tweaks.
PlanB is only for Java players and it is an 18 plus community. You have to apply to get whitelisted so it feels more private and safe. These players have been around for years and this is already their seventeenth season so they are clearly not going anywhere.
There is no pay to win stuff here and no pay to play items. They use dedicated hardware in a datacentre in Europe so the server runs stable. PVP is not forced and it only happens when both players agree.
Rules are pretty normal. Do not cheat and do not ruin the balance of the community. The main idea is to keep things respectful and keep the world nice for everyone. If you like long term adult survival with a close community this server fits really well.

This is a wild Minecraft server called 1fighter2defenders or 1f2d. It is a survival server with no rules and no map resets. The world has been running since 2021 so it is over 4 and a half years old and has already had thousands of players join at least once.
On this server griefing is allowed. Building is allowed. Cheating is also allowed. Basically everything goes. You can play however you want and nobody will stop you.
The main version is 1.21 but it also supports versions from 1.17 up to 1.21.10. So you can join from a lot of different versions and still play on the same crazy world.
If you like pure anarchy and a world that never resets this server is exactly that. It is rough and chaotic but that is the whole point.

This is a small survival server called HoneySMP and it feels super cozy. It is not a giant pay to win server. It is more like a long term world where the same people keep coming back.
The players want a real community. At spawn there is a community chest area where you can take what you need and leave what you do not. It helps new people get started so you are not stuck punching trees forever.
They run weekly events that sound fun like Elytra races and a custom event called Honey Heist. During events people hop in voice chat and just hang out and play together. It feels more like a group of friends than random strangers.
The server has some custom coded features. There is key forging where you can combine keys and try to upgrade them into better tiers instead of just opening boring crates. There is a player driven economy where you can sell stuff from your farms and run your own shop.
