This is a semi vanilla survival server where the owner and some friends built their own custom features. The code is made for this server only and most of the textures are made by the community so it still looks like normal Minecraft but with their own style.
The server has some quality of life commands and features that make survival smoother without changing it into a crazy modpack. They use plugins like GriefPrevention to protect builds and Simple Voice Chat for players who like to talk in game. CoreProtect is there to keep things safe and squaremap helps with maps.
They do not spam you with crates or random cosmetics. It feels like they care about quality over quantity and want players who like survival and want to try something a bit different but still familiar.
The staff and builders are listed clearly so it feels like a small close team that actually plays on the server too.

I found a modded SMP world that is already up and running with a small group. They have made some progress already so you would be jumping into an active world not a fresh reset.
It is on Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge and you play with a full mod list that they share. You can claim your own area and build your own place or you can live with the main group if you want.

There are no resets and no land claims so everything you build can last or get taken. There is no teleporting so you have to walk and travel the hard way.
PvP is on and griefing and raiding are allowed. The server runs on dedicated hardware in Australia so it is made for low lag for Australia and New Zealand players. It also has no pay to win and no monetization and donations are not required and will not be asked for.

I found this hardcore server and it feels like an anarchy place with around 16 players sometimes. It is the kind of world where you do not know who is running stuff. People were saying hacks and xray are not allowed and you can get banned automatically but it still feels sketchy.
I went super far from spawn to make a base because I do not trust anyone. Some players started talking about some weird thing and it made the server feel like there is a mystery going on. Then someone asked where I was and I refused to say so I tried to meet at set coordinates instead.
When I got close I saw two of them and one pulled out a fishing rod. Right after that I heard a break sound and the server lagged like crazy and a circle of TNT started falling from the sky. They said it was some kind of redstone machine and they talked about building it far away.
Now it feels like a grind server where you have to stay careful and expect fights. Sometimes it looks like the server is sleeping so you have to join to wake it up. Joining can take a bunch of tries and you might need to come back later.GG.MINEWIND.NET New Server IP
