This server is called MC Zombie Plague and it is all about a crazy fast zombie infection game.
Each round one player starts as a zombie and their job is to infect everyone else. The other players are humans and they have to work together if they want to stay alive. You need to use gear and smart stash spots to survive each round. When a human gets infected they switch sides and join the zombie horde and then they hunt down the rest.
It feels very fast and intense and it is really focused on team survival. There are gaming night events like on friday where people can hop on and play together. If you like trying to survive as long as possible before the zombies get you this server is actually pretty fun.

This server is called WithTheCat Community and it has been running for more than 13 years. It is a small but very close group of people who like modded Minecraft and expert style packs. They care a lot about friendship and long adventures that last a long time.
The server runs in Finland on strong hardware with an i5 13500 and a lot of RAM and fast NVMe storage. Right now they host Stone Block 4 and Vault Hunters plus their own custom modpack called WithTheCat Second Edition.
Joining is different from most places because there is no boring form to fill out. Instead they want you to write about yourself. New players write at least 300 words about who they are and what they like. If you have a friend already in the community you can write at least 50 words. They want to know your name your age and your interests so they can see who will fit with the group.

RuneCraft is a Minecraft server about nations and big politics. The map has many different nations and you can join one or try to make your own.
The server is adding custom plugins. One of them is a taxi system that helps you move around the map. It is made so players can travel between places and nations easier.

This is a semi vanilla geopolitical Minecraft survival server where I found a really chill town called PortGlorian inside the Holy Kingdom of Staslov. The whole place feels peaceful and relaxed even though there are nations and politics and stuff.
The server has nations and claim protection so your builds stay safe. There is lore a balanced economy and also diplomacy and war between different groups. But from what I saw most players just care about building a good community and having fun together.

This is a wild survival anarchy server that has been running since 2021 and the map never resets so everything players do stays forever.
There are no rules at all. Griefing is allowed. Building is allowed. Cheating is allowed. Pretty much anything goes here and that makes the world feel super chaotic.
The main version is 1.21 and it still lets people join from 1.17 up to 1.21.11. A lot of players have joined at least once over the years so you can find random old bases ruins and traps far from spawn.

This is a towny server that is actually alive and not laggy.
It runs Java and Bedrock and feels really smooth so fights and building do not stutter.
The main thing here is towny with an economy that feels good to grind. You can earn money and build up your town and just keep growing without random wipes.
There is pvp for when you want to fight. There are shops and auctions so you can trade gear and items with other players. There are also crates that you can open for extra rewards.
It is not pay to win so people cannot just buy power. You actually have to play and grind to get rich which makes wins feel way better.

LegionCraft is a OneBlock survival server where you start on a single block and build your whole world from it. Every block you break matters because you are grinding to grow your island and get stronger.
The server has challenging bosses that you can fight. These bosses drop keys that you use to open crates. The crates give rare loot and epic gear so boss fights feel important and not just random.

This server is called LegacyMC and it is a full on anarchy survival world. It is completely vanilla and there are no rules at all. There are no land claims or protection and there are no game changing plugins. What you build what you break and what you steal is totally up to you.
The owner started it in June 2025 and wants it to be a long term world that does not reset. There is no teleportation and admins do not interfere with gameplay. If something happens it is because players did it not staff.

Crescenta is a worldbuilding Minecraft server where the world changes as players play. People make big civilizations and build history and explore new places so it feels like a huge story that never stops.
The server is on version 1.21.8 and it works on both Java and Bedrock so a lot of different players can join. There is Simple Voice Chat so people can actually talk in game which makes roleplay and big projects feel way more real.
One of the coolest things is the custom ancestry system. New players get pulled into the action fast and it is easier to make dynasties and family lines and other roleplay stuff. It makes your character feel like part of a big world instead of just some random person.
The world has custom generation that looks fresh and different so exploring is fun. They also have Bluemap so you can see the map in 3D on the web and check out builds and terrain.
There is a brewing plugin similar to Brewery where you can make drinks and even get drunk. Builds can be protected with a Citadel and NameLayer based reinforcement system so you do not lose everything you worked on.
The community is friendly and creative from what I saw. The server is not pay to win at all. It feels like a place where you are supposed to write your own story and really make it yours.
